The extention rod is on top of the main rods!!! I would never imagine anybody would come up with this design. Bought the longest rode available that the curtains can be moved smoothly, and this curtain rod has the extension rode outside of the main rods, so it will be stuck always! Wat a bad luck! Returning this as soon as possible.

Had this item for less than a year. We’ve been using it i our master bedroom. And the part welded to the mounting bracket came off as I tried to open the curtain. Not durable for daily use. We’ve had problems non-stop.

First, the instructions provided must be for a completely different product. Second, the description says 36"-72" but that's impossible. The rods on either side are each about 22" (and they don't fit into each other to make smaller) so the minimum size is at least 44" wide. That was solved with a pipe cutter (so I'm sadly unable to return!) and was able to do my best to install. Third, getting curtains on and off is super difficult -- you need to bend the middle support piece to fit the rod onto the side posts, and it will almost certainly damage and weaken the anchors and screws in the wall, and will lose structural integrity. Do not recommend!!!!

The rod itself is gorgeous but the instructions are completely useless, so do not waste your time trying to figure them out. Once I realized this, I simply drilled screws into the visible holes on the brackets and voila! Set-up was super easy once I used common sense rather than the instructions provided. The rods are slightly flimsy, so I wouldnt put too much weight on them. I have one pair of black outs in the front and a pair of sheer in the back - haven't had any issues with the rods upholding this weight. As mentioned in another review, the screws and studs provided do not work on plaster. I wound up using my own supplies, which sped up the set-up time immensely. Overall, it's a lovely double rod but took off a star due to the inaccurate instructions and useless tools provided.

Has fallen off wall twice now. I confirmed the weight of the curtains is 22lb. The rod capacity is supposed to be 25lbs. It is not.

Only lasted two weeks!! The bracket that holds the larger outer rod broke. I had five large blackout curtains hanging on the outer rod and either the curtains were too heavy or this product is cheaply made (I believe it to be the latter). If you have a wide window that requires MANY panels, stay clear! Keep looking and don’t waste your time or money, NEXT!

We bought the 120” rod and it fits our windows great. Quality looks good. Paint hasn’t scratched off. Be sure to unscrew the middle rods screw to avoid chance of scratching off paint.

These look great but the screws on one set of rods would not tighten. They would turn but one fell out and the other is loosely in. They are on the cheap side but if I didn't have the screw problems on that one set of rods I would give 4 stars. I expect form and function.

I didn’t have a problem with these curtain rods. I measured my window beforehand and I always work with more than a few extra inches when measuring. Installing them wider than the “minimum” creates the illusion of a bigger window, anyway, and makes your room seem bigger. Keep in mind, too, that there are general recommendations for the distance a rod should be placed from a window, so either look that up, depending on the illusion you want to create, or follow the guide offered here on the item page.
Quality-wise, I think they are lovely, though the polish/color on them does scratch off easily, so do be gentle with tools. For me, my drapes cover a mess of sins, so it’s not too bothersome. Everything seems sturdy, and I always recommending using the middle bracket to keep the rod from bending out of alignment for future use, if you ever move houses. The kit comes with all necessary hardware, including screws and anchors. You will need a drill for the anchors, but that’s stated in the instructions.
Overall, I’m very happy and I would purchase more of these in the future if need for more double curtains arose.
