About the Author

Nido Qubein is an internationally known speaker and consultant who returned to his undergraduate alma mater in 2005 to serve as president. By all accounts, he transformed High Point University from a "sleepy small school" to a dynamic and highly successful institution of higher learning.

Student enrollment and the number of faculty quadrupled. National rankings topped the U.S. News "Best Colleges in the South." The campus grew from 91 to 550 acres and the number of buildings expanded from 22 to 128. With an investment of almost $3 billion, the university evolved from three academic schools to fourteen. Graduation rates, learning outcomes, and career placements moved up measurably.

The author enjoys an international reputation as a dynamic speaker, much-in-demand business advisor, and a respected member of national corporate boards. He authored many books on communication and personal development and has been featured widely in national publications. He has received many prestigious awards and distinctions including The Ellis Island Medal of Honor, induction in the Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans, DAR Americanism Medallion, and the National Speakers Hall of Fame.
