There are 36 colors in this set and they are all very nice. They are pretty sturdy - my heavy handed daughter only broke the top of a couple but they do sharpen well. They are easy to hold - I’m a left handed person and it fits comfortably in my hand. The color pay off is very nice on coloring sheets and it seems to blend nicely - I was able to do some ombré on my color sheets. Overall a very good option for art whether you are young or young at heart!
