Faber-Castell Paint by Number Watercolor Set - Succulents: Adult Painting Kit with Acrylic Paint & Brush, Ages 12+

Very pretty and this is a Christmas present for a 8 year old.

Watercolor is not done on canvas, but on special watercolor paper that allows the colors to be blended. Why not teach people how it is meant to be done?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like to paint, but I don’t feel like I’m that creative lol, so I wanted to try a paint by numbers project. This one is cute and has colors I like. It is still a work in progress, but I think it coming along well. It comes with a brush, the paints and a stretched canvas printed with the pattern. The included instructions have the colors marked for you. Of course you can improvise the placements and mix the colors to make it different, but I’m trying to match the sample.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I picked this out, I thought there would be lines that separates the colors like that of my daughter's paint by number book, I was wrong. This is an advance version of it as it teaches you to blend colors to look seamless, and I love it! It has color guide and a finished look guide to let you know where each color starts and ends and where they meet and blend. I am not a professional water color artist but my finished painting made me feel like a pro. I will definitely get more of these. The design I picked is succulents and this gives me an idea of creating color versions depending on the season as you may not know, succulents vary in color depending on sun exposure and season temperature. I definitely recommend this, for a new relaxing hobby.

The paint colors were vibrant and had great shading qualities. There was ample paint to complete the picture and it turned out quit beautiful.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an ok paint by number. I like that there is a wire on the back so that if you want, you can hang it on the wall very easily. The wire supports the picture very well. I like the picture for this paint by number. The colors are very pretty. It is a picture of pretty flowers. I like the color guide to use when painting. It is helpful. I do not like that for some of the numbers you have to mix 2 colors together to get the color. It is not perfect and the color looks weird. It is hard to mix if you use too much or too little water or turpentine. I used water when painting because there is no scent Turpentine has an unpleasant scent. I used different size paint brushes depending on how big and wide the areas were. I could not paint the whole thing in 1 day or time period. It is too much. I spread out over several days per week and on my weekend off. The final product looked very pretty even though some of the mixed colors looked weird I prefer paint by numbers where you do not have to mix colors because it is very hard to get the exact color when mixing the colors on your own. I would only buy this product again if I did not have to mix the colors together. Mixing the colors together made this product frustrating to use and took the fun out of it. This is a good product for painters and people who are good at mixing colors together and do not mind mixing the colors together. It is good if you want to hang it on the wall because it has a wire already attach to the photo. The people I just mentioned are the people I would recommend this product to. For first time paint by number people, this is a good product to test to see if you like or dislike mixing some of the colors. This may be good for old kids, teens, and adults. It is a good project to do on a rainy day, during a pandemic, or when it is super hot outside and too hot to go outside. It is good to take on vacation when visiting relatives and family. Overall, this is an ok product. It is average value, but high quality product.

I love the Faber-Castell - Watercolor Paint by Number Succulents - #770633. It was very easy to follow the numbers. The paint was simple to mix and spread very well. The colors dried a beautiful pastel color which made the design pop.

The instructions were easy to follow as was the color placement which was on a separate sheet. I was at first concerned that it wasn’t on the canvas itself but it was no problem to follow. The paint was easy to work with and brush seemed to be of good quality. The colors are beautiful and I will definitely be trying another.

I tape the template to my mirror and place my mini essel in front of it. The extra number page (template) made my day! Since it is a watercolor painting and the colors are naturally more subtle, I like that the numbers were not included on the painting. I've enjoyed coming home to work on this little project! It has done a lot to relieve stress. 10/10 recommend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like that the watercolors are easy to blend on the plastic from the kit. You do have to put water in the color that you are using constantly since after a few dabs you can't get anything out of it. It dries very fast and if it gets on your skin, it comes right off. I wish it had the numbers on the canvas because it would be easier to paint it, rather than looking at the paper all the time. Once you start painting, it goes very quick and it's very fun to do.

There was plenty of paint in order to finish the painting. I would love to post a pic, but my daughter took it home with her! She loved it that much!

It includes how to mix the colors to make new colors. I didn't get to work on it very much because my 4 year old daughter wanted to try it and she fell in love with painting it. So momma is going to purchase a new one and we can work on our own paintings together.

The kit includes a guide which is actually numbered so the canvas doesn't have any numbers on it. I haven't finished mine yet, but it appears the amount of paint supplied will be sufficient to provide good coverage. The paint actually dries quickly. The brush seems to be of very good quality - meaning I haven't noticed any bristles falling out yet. The colors are very nicely thought out on this particular picture. I love how the pattern allows you to test your skills with mixing colors. If I had to make a suggestion, I would suggest identifying the paint colors with small numbers on the actual pallette and to have some type of mounting hook on the back since the picture actually goes over the edges of the framework. It is hard to distinguish between the light purple and purple. I love doing crafts and this was very relaxing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think the Faber-Castell - Watercolor Paint by Number Succulents is a beautiful picture and comes with a stretched canvas that is ready to hang when finished. This set is a bit harder to use since the numbers aren't printed on the canvas, but understandable since watercolors are sheer and the preprinted numbers would show through. The template is on a separate sheet and have numbers assigned to the colors, however they are not printed under the paints. I finally got a marker and wrote the numbers under the corresponding paint color to make this easier. I used a small brush of my own for the smaller areas. Overall, this is a beautiful picture and and well worth the effort.

We just sat in the shade and painted making an evening of fun and art with the family. The colors are so pretty and the directions are so easy to follow.
