Enjoy your backyard swimming pool with the FAFCO Original Solar Bear! Extend your swimming season by warming your cold pool and ensuring comfortable water temperatures.
The Original Solar Bear's connected tube design is the most efficient solar pool heater available. Extra large manifolds maximize the flow through the pump and filter system.
The Original Solar Bear system is comprised of one 4ft x 20ft solar panel and one Starter Kit for simple plumbing to your pool. The panel is made from UV-stabilized polyolefin material and will last for many seasons in direct sunlight. The integrated manual bypass valve can be used to shut off the system when the pool is up to the desired temperature.
The Original Solar Bear can be mounted flat on the ground or on a ground-mounted tilted rack.
Put the sun to work for you and enjoy free heat from your FAFCO Original Solar Bear.
Note: For best performance, panels should face south, tilted 10 to 30 degrees with unobstructed sunlight. The system should operate between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on sunny days.

It’s crack and leaking out the water from the one of the small tube soon I turned the pool filter pump on, can’t even last for one minute, so disappointed of it, wasting my time, specially when I try to pack it up and return back to store, return is so easy, target is one of my favorite place to shop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has kept our pool warmer this summer however it was difficult to get it set up at first because all my hoses didn’t work with it they were too short to put it on the ground and put it towards the sun. So we had to buy longer hoses and put it on a table which wasn’t the best option but it worked for this year

In full sunlight for 2 days and the pool temp jumped to 91 degrees. A little warm for my husband but perfect my liking. Night swimming never felt so good. Installation was a breeze and we absolutely love this heater.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am always trying to keep my pool water as warm as possible, so I decided to try this out. I have to say, it was well worth it. I used it in conjunction with my solar cover and some liquid heat trapper. It really worked! In three days my pool was four degrees warmer. At one point it even felt like bath water, before all of our rain. You can actually feel the warmer water coming through the outlet. I didn’t try this until almost the end of the pool season here in Ohio, so I am really looking forward to next summer. I have no doubt I will be able to get my pool at least eight degrees warmer. I also look forward to being able to open my pool a little earlier, as well. I have always been interested in finding more ways to heat my pool, without having to buy an expensive heater. I’m pretty sure I have a great combination now!

This heater works very well and it's super easy to install and to maintain!!!! And having a solar battery is definitely a plus for all your pool heating needs!!!! I was so excited to get the Baby Bear solar power heater system for our new above ground pool. It raised our pool temperate to a more comfortable temperature-which my kids were definitely happy about! It’s going to now allow us to extend our pool time by a few more weeks!!
