FAO Schwarz Stage Stars Interactive Guitar with Whammy Bar

I gave this toy 2 stars because of one reason- the strap if put together can get tightly wrapped around a child’s neck - luckily I was standing right there and was able to go and untwist it but it did leave a red mark on the front of his neck. My suggestion for safety and as a parent is to cut the straps on this toy before giving it to child- they can still rock out to the music but there is no need for the strap. I don’t want any other parent to have the scare like I did or worse in regards to this guitar that overall the kids absolutely love. Which is why I gave it two stars is that overall it’s a great toy and a really fun one. But in regards to safety I would give it less than 1 star if I could. Why can’t the kid just hold the guitar or lay it on the floor? Hopefully they fix this safety concern if not just cut the straps before giving it to your child is my suggestion it does not at all affect the playing of the toy.

4 out of 8 buttons work, it glitches out right out of the package . When I strum the strings it works around 1 time out of 10 attempts. I understand it’s a cheap (25 dollar) toy but it’s not worth even half of that.

I liked it had a volume button and several different musical options.

The sound is only one volume which I wish was adjustable however it’s worth it with as much fun as she is having. She keeps coming home and immediately playing with it alternating between the 3 sound type and trying to play her own songs or following along with the songs that play. We turn it off between uses which I am sure helps the battery life.

The strap is also Velcro makes things a little easier. When I received it , it came with 3 AA batteries already in it, also came with stickers to decorate. Great toy even the adults play with it.

The buttons are easy to press, the whammy bar feature is fun, and the strings actually strum! There are different sound settings, you can mute it and increase/decrease sound.
