Q: How do I wash the frying pan? Can I use a dish brush? How about a scrubber, like a scotch brite pad.
A: Thank you for your inquiry Siobhan regarding the Farberware Reliance 8" Aluminum Nonstick Frying Pan. To properly clean your pans, use a mild dish washing detergent, warm water and a soft nylon brush or nylon scrub pad. If food remains on the non-stick surface, boil a mixture of three parts water and one part vinegar in your pan on medium heat for 5-10 minutes to dislodge food particles. Let it stand until cooled, then wash with warm, soapy water and a soft nylon brush, rinse and dry. You can also rub a paste of baking soda and water using a nylon pad and let it sit for up to 30 minutes, then wash, rinse and towel dry. Q: Is it PFOA and PTFE free? (specifically, PTFE? I see another answer mentioned it is PFOA free)

Our nonstick cookware is PFOA-free, and the nonstick coatings do contain PTFE - actually, all nonstick coatings from any maker contain PTFE. "PTFE" is basically the chemical name of the nonstick coating - it's the actual ingredient that makes the cookware "nonstick." Q: What is the non stick coating inside the pan made of?
A: Thank you for your inquiry. Our cookware is not made with Teflon brand nonstick, and are made with a traditional nonstick coating manufactured without PFOA. Nonstick coatings have been and continue to be safe to household use and meet all Federal guidelines.

Q: Does this work with induction burners?
A: Thank you for your inquiry. The Farberware Reliance 8" Aluminum Nonstick Frying Pan is not induction suitable. This item is only glass, ceramic, gas and electric stovetop suitable. We hope this helps. <ms>
