I did try it out and it does work, I just can’t wait to see how well it keep the pond from completely freezing. I want to try it with my chickens waterers as well! I have a small pond in my backyard that we recently expanded, the saucer is light weight and a green shade that should somewhat camouflage with the lily pads and other shrubbery. Directions are easy and straight forward. Once the winter hits, i expect to save a little bit of money, and more importantly have my fish survive the winter, while implementing the saucer into my pond regimen.

In addition, you don't have to concern yourself by running back & forth to check the temperature within the pond, because this product contains a thermostat that shuts on and off when needed. Also, it's important to have a hole exposed in ponds during freezing temperatures to allow gasses to escape. With the floating de-icing heater, it automatically provides that thanks to the de-icing feature, which in turn keeps my koi safe from any harmful gasses. This handy little tool doesn't just help keep fish alive & safe, but also helps plant life thrive better as well! Like I said, it does all the work for you and it's just as easy to maintain. When it's not in use, you just simply wipe down & clean and then safely store away inside until the next time it's needed. Innovative & ingenious, to say the least!
