I did check different brand (Lactaid) website and per their own website "All LACTAID® products are kosher certified by the Orthodox Union and can be used year round, except during Passover." Hopefully Target gets their brand OU certified for kashrus soon, too.

A: The package says to take just one with each meal, and to take another one if eating dairy for over 40 minutes.

Q: Are you supposed to chew the caplets or swallow them? It doesn't say chewable on the front of the package but the directions say they are chewable.

New manufacturer (notice the inner package now looks like Kirkland which consumer reports tested at the worst generic lactaid), now does not work. The previous manufacturer was fantastic, but now they do not work.

It doesn’t work for me very well. I took two lactase enzyme pills then ate dairy foods and went to rush to the bathroom and never buy Lactaid and any store brand lactase enzyme pills again! I respect the positive reviews who said it worked for them but not for everyone who are lactose intolerants. It worked for some people. I guess I’m going to back on a lactose free diet again!

So, I love cheese and milk. Pizza, ice cream, bean & cheese burrito, pizza, milkshake, pizza. Thing is, milk doesn’t like me. So, I take these pills. And it helps. More often than not, I’m good to go. Every now and then it doesn’t work. Then I’m on the throne in agony. But usually it works. And I love me some pizza. Good stuff!👍

Target’s have been the only generic brand that works for me. However, with the new package, they have switched generic providers and this one does not work as well. The caplets are chalky and I feel a difference a few hours later.

I have been taking Lactaid pills for years. I can usually buy the knock off brands and have bought these before. The most recent batch that I bought did NOT work. I have been in severe pain and taking multiple pills trying to relieve symptoms. I will now need to stick to the name brand. Just trying to forewarn people so they do not have to go through the same pain.

I take the name brand all the time and can enjoy dairy with no issue, I bought these and they do NOT work. Ruined several days over the course of a month before I realized the issue is these pills. They are absolute garbage. Stick to the real deal

Never buying these again! I had a small about of milk and I used 3 pills over the course of 1.5 hours and this did not help at all. I was miserable! Stick to name brand!
