Q: will the bin fit in a small condo patio

A: I ordered a different bin and received this one instead.14 phone calls later (was told only to return product for exchange or full refund no partial credit.)this model cheaper but card charged more costly model. Too big and bulky to return .Finally Asher at corporate was able to give me a target gift card.What a pain to get resolved!

Spinning this tumbler (1/3 full) is a nightmare. I have to expend a lot of energy - both hands & 1 foot - just to get 1 turn out of the tumbler. No easy spin like my 1st tumbler (a different brand).

I was worries that you wouldn't be able to spin it once it got over half full. As long as you spin it often it keeps everything from clumping up and making it difficult to spin. I love the simplicity of it, and the eas of using it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is easy to put anywhere in the backyard as it is pretty easy to move when empty and doesn’t take up a lot of space. The only downside is rotating when it is full can be a little difficult but if removing the soil once it has composted then it’s not too shabby.

It's as easy as that. You need to try and put it in a sunny spot. That helps with breaking the compost down. Another great quality is when your compost is done, you can roll it over to your garden. How convenient! You only gotta turn it five to ten times every two to three days. It's super easy and very good for your gardens and flowers. I can't express how much I love this composter. It really is the best I have tried.

Nearly impossible to tumble, especially compared with other serious composters. No drainage, so it gets too wet inside. It is better to save your money and buy a composter that works well

I bought this to have a composter that does not sit on the ground, as I am trying to keep compost away from the invasive Asian jumping worms in the soil. It is a bit smaller than I expected, but easy to set up - no assembly, use straight out of the box. I like the simple, solid design, including handholds for rotation. No spindly legs or rotation mechanism to mess with or go wrong. It does take some force to rotate when full. I'm thinking of getting another one. (As for the worms, when the compost is mostly done, I bag it in clear plastic and solarize to kill any worms and cocoons.)

I decided to try this composter as I have down-sized everything else in my life. At first, the lid was secure and it was easily rotated. But wait- winter dropped in and closed it down. First, freezing rain, then Ice and snow made it impossible to turn, even if cleared off. The lid would not budge - even if tapped with a rubber mallet. It was frozen solid. Another reason that made rotation difficult for me, was it became incredibly heavy with no way to use leverage. Now it is thawed and rotates easily - it is June. I guess I need a different composter for winter. Hard to recommend this for really frigid climes, but it works just fine in the warm summer months.

I have given 2 of these for gifts and soon I want to buy one for myself. I like that it is up off the ground and easy to turn. I have 2 other composters of my own and they sit on a platform on the ground. During a hurricane both of the platforms floated away in a very high flood tide. Now I just let them sit on the ground and roll them around to mix them. I love my old ones but I would like to try a Hot Frog.
