Here's a tip that may help! Make sure the scent refill is inserted all the way down and that the scent bubble is facing forward. The back of the refill should be facing towards the circular openings on the back of the unit. It takes about 15 minutes for the scent to be noticed after activation. If the unit is placed in a highly ventilated area, like next to an open window or fan, it will use up more perfume faster. Make sure you activate the unit by pressing downward, with both thumbs, on the circle in the center of the Faceplate. When you do this, you may hear a ‘click’ when the button was pressed firmly enough to activate the device. Once the device has been activated, the liquid level will drop approximately halfway. This is because the fragrance moves down to saturate the membrane in order to release the scent.
