I have a number of droppers for pour overs, and the Stagg X does a good job. I like how well it keeps the brew hot, and it's good looking. I also find that a Kalita 185 filter works quite well if a Stagg is unavailable, which is a plus. Makes a very nice single or small double cup. Hint: I find that sometimes the rubber rim doesn't easily sit level on the vessel underneath. If you've ever ordered a Kalita or a Hario with a removable donut base, it will work perfectly on the Stagg.

I think this a great pour over dripper. My only complaint is the filters being so specific and their limited availability (having to order from Fellow online). It makes a great pour over, that is for sure! I love the vertical design as opposed to a funnel or taper like Chemex, Hario or Melitta all have.

I purchased this and asked Fellow on IG and read the manual for any grinding suggestions for pour overs. I own an Opus grinder and would hope there world be some initial suggestions and there aren't. It would add to the Fellow ecosystem to know this information. I've gotten it somewhat dialed in but definitely had some awful cups. Also the mixing of weight and volume in the instructions is a bit jarring. The instructions go back and forth and it's not really what I (and others) are used to seeing in pourover recipes. These are great products that are meant to integrate. These suggestions are to help give that feel to Fellow product owners.

I think this is a good kit for making single cups of poor over coffee. Throwing mechanics took a little adaptation. In order to get the proper extraction and brew time, which is for me 3 to 4 minutes, I have had to grind the coffee quite a bit finer than I usually do for a pour over. In this case the fellows grinder is set to 3 rather than 4 or 5 With that again about a 3-minute brew time and the coffee is rich in flavorful.

So far, it’s okay. I tried fresh Onyx beans ground on an Opus grinder to a pour over size, with reverse osmosis water set to 195 degrees Fahrenheit, with 20g of grounds and 10oz of water and have had lackluster results compared to other pour over options I have. When I ignore the recommended grind setting, water levels, temperature, and ground quantity; I have better results. I was very hopeful this would perform better than it has been.

I usually hand wash my pour-over dripper, but yesterday I tried using the dishwasher, instead. The dripper is fine, but the paint on the lid/measuring cap is now peeling off. I can't seem to find any washing directions or general use manual for the product, which is disappointing. Buyer beware--this product isn't dishwasher safe.

The pour over is one of the better pour overs I’ve owned. I really like the additional measuring cup that it comes with. Would highly recommend this product if you’re in the fence about it. You won’t be dissappinted.

First time I ever tried a pour over and it was actually a huge success. Got to try it in the SAN FRAN store and was sold. Watched/read multiple reviews praising the ease and heat retention of the Stagg X.

I've had several pour overs but this is the best. Makes a great cup of coffee. I love it Sturdy. Easy to use and looks great.

If you like the taste of paper filter coffee and you routinely brew coffee for just yourself, stop looking, this is the brewer for you. Simple, sturdy, well made and nicely integrated, it brews very consistently and very well up to about a 400 gram batch. If you want more coffee than that you'll be brewing twice. Fortunately, that's just about perfect for me and a companion to share a delicious brew in the morning. It's also great for brewing straight into a travel mug since the base of the brewer has a small diameter. For travel, as long as you can make a reasonable facsimile of a kettle (hot water and something to pour out of), I don't think you can do better. The stainless construction is absolutely sturdy and the integrated weigh boat/drip tray is perfect for stashing enough beans for one to two brews. The only reasons I wouldn't recommend this brewer is if you absolutely need more than 500 grams of coffee at a time or if you simply don't like the taste of paper filter coffee since modifying this for a screen filter would likely be quite difficult.

The quality is excellent, especially like the insulated walls and it makes great coffee. Its perfect for using the 4:6 method in conjunction with salami shots (technique in which a pour-over is cut into several cups for evaluation of flavors at different stages of the pour-over). The dripper and tasting glasses make a great combination for this purpose. Recommend this product.

Love this individual mug pour-over! Great for camping. I wanted something for our RV & this works perfectly. Love that the base is measuring unit for the coffee. Bonus for me that I can take on kayak camping trips also.

I enjoy the Stagg (XF) so much, I bought this Stagg(X) for those times I just want a single cup.
