AUTHOR INFORMATION Christopher John Mehne, working up though the ranks, retired after nearly 30 years with the U.S. Forest Service, Fire Management organization, where he had achieved the fire rank of Division Chief, was the Supervisor of the Plumas National Forest Emergency Command and Dispatch Center, the Forest Fire Training Officer, and served in other administrative capacities. He served in the U.S. Army as a Medical Corpsman during the Vietnam War. He enjoys motorcycling, gardening, landscaping, and is a father, grandfather and great grandfather.
