Q: Is there a screw option to install? I truly hate double stick tape to hang things.

submitted by BB - 4 years ago
  • A: Thank you for your question. There is a screw option for installation of this unit.

  • A: Thank you for your question. All our alarms come with mounting screws- other than the AC units. We do not want consumers to install using any other means- other than the screws/anchors that are sent with the alarms.

Q: How can this test for carbon monoxide if it isn't near the floor? Or test for smoke if it is near the floor, but not near the ceiling?

submitted by Missneekole - 7 years ago
  • A: Thank you for reaching out. Although there is a myth that carbon monoxide is heavier than air, it's actually slightly lighter than air and it diffuses throughout the room/house evenly. According to a peer-reviewed study published in the Journal of Emergency Medicine, the installation height of your CO alarm doesn't affect the alarm's performance. This means you do NOT need to install alarms near the floor. When you decide where to install a carbon monoxide alarm, choose a location where the alarm will stay clean and out of the way of children or pets.

  • A: Carbon monoxide is lighter than air and diffuses pretty evenly throughout a room. Therefore, placement at or near the ceiling is fine.

Q: Does this unit only have one alarm that sounds for both smoke and carbon monoxide or are there separate alarm sounds within this one unit for either? Hope this question makes sense. Thanks

submitted by flutiegrin - 2 years ago
  • A: Thank you for your question. During a carbon monoxide event, the carbon monoxide LED will flash red and the horn pattern is 4 beeps, pause, 4 beeps, pause. During a smoke event, the smoke LED will flash red and the horn pattern is 3 beeps, pause, 3beeps, pause. Q: From your answer above: “ We do not want consumers to install using any other means- other than the screws/anchors ” assume there is no double sided sticky tape ( or some non screw method). Is that correct?

submitted by Sn - 3 years ago
  • A: Thank you for your question. We do not recommend any other installation method.

Q: Is this product legitimate? As in, actually reliable & worth the $50 price tag for a single device? Reviewers who have this alarm got it for free..... I’ll likely be returning solely based on that. Sketchy Target! Sketchy.

submitted by zeluje32 - 6 years ago
