phone cord too short, can't get it to child ear without picking up phone and pull string too short, why isn't there a pull bead for little hands?'. I used to rave about Fisher Price toys, my kids loved the phone, my great grandson yells because he can't get phone to his ear. used to be a great company.

The length of the telephone cord is approximately 7". Safety regulations prevent this cord from being longer.

Great toy, like the one I had growing up the baby loves it, but I doubt she knows what it’s supposed to be in the age of no house phones.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought a week ago and disappointed to see that the dial isn't returning to its first position and the telephone cord to the handset is too short to reach baby's head without having to lift the whole phone up. For granddaughter 10 months. Seem to remember the original phones had flexible handset lead? Can't be a safety risk as the pull along cord is quite long.
Could be really fun

I brought this item today for my baby. LO loves playing with phones and I remember having one as a child. The only issue I see is the short cord. If baby wants to put the receiver to ear the base dangles. If I knew it was that short I would have just purchased a real phone for baby to play with.

Thanks for your feedback. Regrettably, regulations prevent the phone cord from being longer in order to avoid entanglement.
My sons all time favorite toy

Bought this for my son for his first birthday and now he is almost 3. From the day he got it to now, it has been his absolute favorite toy. When it’s “missing” he looks all over for it. He pushes it around like a car, but he loves it more because of the sound it makes when you run it into something. I got another one from a thrift store and he was busy for weeks just pushing both of those phones around. Occasionally he “talks on the phone” with it which he likes and only if I suggest it, he will pull the string. He uses them both so much that they’re so dirty and gross and the red phone piece fell off both somehow. Yet still, it’s his absolute favorite toy. My only complaint is that Target doesn’t seem to sell them anymore. Soooo disappointing because we desperately need a new one. I get one for every toddler that doesn’t yet have one. Plus the classic design is so cute!

The phone is frustrating for my little one. The cord is way to short.

Regulations prevent the telephone cord from being longer in order to avoid entanglement. The pull cord is not attached to anything at one end, therefore, does not fall under the regulation for length of cords. We're sorry for any disappointment this may cause.

I thought this was a fun, nostalgic toy. My son loves the sound it makes when the wheels move. He likes to drive it like a car. The phone helps encourage imaginative play. The dial also helps with fine motor skills. The string was a bit annoying, so we easily removed it. Otherwise a really great toy that we would recommend!

My daughter has had this toy for over a year and a half. Thought it was a nostalgic toy, but the receiver cord is short as well as pull string. I had one when I was younger, but this redesign falls short

I brought this for our granddaughter because our children liked the phone. But every time she plays with it she can’t put it to her ear without picking up the phone. Wish I had read the reviews first.

Pull cord is too long, child could strangle. Needs to be shortened, we cut ours off.

Please rest assured that the well-being of your little one is always our main concern. We design and engineer thousands of toys and children’s products, and each model is evaluated to make sure it meets stringent safety standards. The length of pull cord is approximately 26". This cord is not attached to anything at one end, therefore, does not fall under the regulation for length of cords. We do not recommend modifying the product in any way, and would ask that you reach out to our team for help. You can find all of our contact information here: https://fp-fami.ly/2KPpSim

I bought this Chatter Phone a few weeks ago and I am very disappointed. It does not make any of the sounds that it is supposed to do. I would like another phone or my money back and I prefer a phone. I hope whoever is in charge of these complaints will respond to me at my email below.
