I bought this to replace another fiskars shovel that finally gave up the ghost after nearly ten years of hard use. Third time I used the new shovel, the point of the spade broke off. By my experience and the other reviews, looks like profit is more important than quality at Fiskars. I doubt I'll get a response from the warranty form.

We appreciate your loyalty to Fiskars and are sorry to hear about your experience with the new shovel. Our tools are built for durability, so a break like this isn’t what we expect. Our warranty team does review all claims and will get to your as quickly as possible.
Not the shovel I thought it would be.

I thought this shovel would be a lifetime shovel and would be built with quality. I was wrong. I have had this shovel for a out 6 months and it broke last week. It literally split in half. Very poor quail metal and very disappointing.

I bought this shovel a couple years back and really loved it, especially the extremely sharp spade and metal handle. Then the weld broke where the handle meets the spade. I was surprised that it broke. Can I get a little help from customer service please? It's supposed to have a lifetime warranty.

Heavy for a shovel. Seemed good for a while until I was digging out some tough shrubs in my yard and it broke. Fiskars says they need my original receipt for that lifetime warranty which I cannot seem to locate as I bought it in store.
Great for digging holes!

Does what it's supposed to! I like that there's a lifetime warranty, although it seems well-contructed so probably won't need to use it. It's definitely not flimsy-- pretty heavy as far as shovels go. Overall, it's a great shovel, especially for the price point.

This shovel is very well designed for ergonomics and resilience. It is a bit heavier than a fiberglass alternative but that is the cost of not replacing the handle once a year(daily use). Has the sturips so you don't ruin your boots or hurt your feet. The head is offset from the handle, which i personally believe makes its use more comfortable for a taller individual.

We bought this shovel after ours broke. Thinking it would hold up looking at the reviews…. After 3 uses the head broke off. We bought it 100 days ago and barely got to use it. How many shovels do we need to buy in order to find a good one?
