A: The main difference is the purpose of the products. FLEX Disc is a menstrual product made to catch period blood. FLEX Disc is not a contraceptive device and does not protect against STI's or pregnancy. Please only use FLEX Disc as directed! A Cervical Cap is a contraceptive device.

Our products are made of an inert material that should not cause or contribute to any infections, however, we do strongly advise against wearing them for longer than 12 hours.If you've worn it for longer than 12hrs and are concerned, then we recommend scheduling an appointment with your gynecologist. You know your body best, but if something feels off or you begin to experience any unusual symptoms (foul odor, abnormal discharge, discomfort, etc.) then it is best you consult with your doctor right away to rule out infection. In the future, you can also always set an alarm or reminder on your phone. Let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.

When you're not in the bathroom, since you don't bear down like you would to pee/poo while doing daily activities, the vaginal/pelvic floor muscles used to empty the disc are not active. THIS product is the best!!!! Tampons would always leak within 1-2 hours, pads are uncomfortable and always moving, but this product has so many benefits, it's unreal. I finally don't have to wear a diaper when I'm sleeping! I am so happy this was advertised to me on social media because it caught my eye so quickly, and I will never return to tampons or pads. I can also work all day without having to take frequent bathroom breaks just to adjust my tampon or pad, or come to find out I had leaked AGAIN.

The disc is super great for every day, normal activities! However, due to the capability of emptying through the barring down sensation, this also happens when bracing correctly through any workout or physical activity. Will use the disc on rest days only.

I use Flex Discs quite sparingly and only in times of necessity when I can’t use a pad like usual, but it is such a good product. I put all my friends onto it and they all agree. Also, Flex Discs are mosh-proof! I wore one to a hardcore concert and it passed the mosh test with flying colors. Buy this product girl, you deserve it.

I started getting my period at 12 and I’ve dreaded that time of the month ever since then. I’ve tried pretty much every period product out there and none of them even come close to the flex disc. It’s comfortable for heavier and lighter days alike, I almost never get cramps anymore, and mostly I don’t worry about or dread having my period anymore. I’m not worried about leaking or sex or discomfort or travel, etc. I can just live my life the same way I do every other day when I’m not menstruating.

I’ve been using discs for a few years now and I’ve NEVER had so many problems! Bled through so much to the point that I might as well have had nothing in! I did get the silicone reusable one and it’s MUCH better! Don’t waste your time with these!

These leak... any pressure down there and they self empty and leak. I have it inserted correctly but the second I sneeze or anything of that sort, it self empties and leaks. Might try the silicone version or just go back to my cup, but thought this was easier to put in than the cup but definitely not worth the leaks.

I had a special weekend away with my husband when my period came early. I came across the flex disc when I googled period sex. I am so glad I decided to give it a shot. I showered and used a fresh disc and we decided to go for it. I never saw one drop and it was like not even being on my period. My husband said he couldn’t feel it either. I will never worry about my period ruining sex again. I used it during the day without any trouble. It was great not having to change out a tampon and felt so much cleaner. Using it at night was awesome because I didn’t have to sleep in an uncomfortable pad. I didn’t have any trouble putting it in like some have mentioned. However, I haven’t mastered taking it out without getting my hands messy. Removing it in the shower is an easy fix for that. I wish I had discovered these sooner. I will be buying the year supply to save some money. I highly recommend these to anyone!

I wanted to love it, I actually thought it did but when it came time to taking it out i could barely reach it. After a few minutes of stress, and anxiety I had my husband help me since he had longer fingers. Maybe I put it in wrong? I an afraid to try it again.

I never do reviews, but this deserves one! I just started using it yesterday and I love it! I am very sensitive and it does not hurt or bother me at all, I don’t feel a thing! I slept in it and had no leakage, it truly does self empty, and it’s just overall amazing! 🙌🏼 Learning how to remove it is the trickiest part for me, but I still managed just fine.

I have been using these for several years now. Although I would not recommend these for heavy or regular days (they get too heavy and leak in my experience), they are INCREDIBLE for light days after your initial heavy days, if this sounds similar to your menstrual pattern. Makes it feel like my period is not even there the days I wear them!!

I’ve used the soft discs for years now and swear by them… but they were out of stock so I had to grab these. Upon unboxing they seemed like the same product, but they feel really different. I bled through several times (which has NEVER happened with the other discs- my periods are light and these usually give 12+ hour protection worries free). They’re more expensive too, I just don’t see an upside.

I wanted to like these. I really did. But honestly, they’re a nightmare. I used a pad (thankfully) because I expected SOME leaking. But I leaked so much on my pad as if the flex disc was doing nothing. Removal and insertion is MESSY. I stopped using it halfway through period and had to go back to tampons. It was that bad. 0/10 do not recommend.
I wish more girlies knew these EXIST!

I absolutely love this! It feels like I'm wearing nothing at all, and my cramps are gone! It does take a little time to get used to, but you won't regret it afterward. Even intimacy while using it is just as amazing! I've worn it for almost ten hours, and it held up like a champ! It does create quite a mess when you dispose of it, but it's worth it no matter what. I wish I had found these earlier, but it's better to try them now than not at all!

I really wanted to love these and all the positive reviews were encouraging! But after trying them for three cycles, I’ve decided they just aren’t for me and I’ll be sticking with tampons. Inserting them is no problem at all and you can’t feel it when it’s in, but I can’t seem to get them to not leak and I have the hardest time removing them- I’ve nearly had a panic attack a couple of times thinking it was too stuck and I’d have to have a doctor remove it lol. Ironically, I also had longer & more uncomfortable periods the months I used the discs. Oh well. I wouldn’t have known unless I tried! I’ll probably pass along the rest of the unused disposable ones I have to someone else who likes them or wants to give a menstrual disc a try :)

The past couple months tampons started causing me a ton of itching and discomfort. I finally got desperate enough to try these despite being scared and a little weirded out by them. Not only will I never go back, but I also plan to buy the reusable disc, which I NEVER thought I would say. You truly can't tell these are in, and they work so much better than tampons. They are easier to put in than a tampon for me (I always used the tampons without applicators so it was a struggle getting it in the right place) and are so much more comfortable. I love that it's something I only have to think about right when I wake up and before I go to bed. Getting them out takes a little more effort than pulling a string, but I've had no issues. I never write reviews but I've been raving about these to all of my friends so I felt like I owed it to this product to share here too.

I tried Flex multiple times, but it always seems to just not quite fit right, just a little too large. I am 5 ft tall so makes sense that I just don’t have the extra cm for it to fit against my pubic bone correctly. Wish they’d make multiple sizes since women aren’t all the same, but until then I won’t be using them again. Even when it seemed like it was in correctly it would pop out at some point and leak. I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1 just because it is comfortable to wear compared to cups and tampons, it would be great if only it worked as advertised or if they considered that they clearly aren’t one size fits all clearly evident by the many reviews similar to mine.

I tried menstrual cups and they were really difficult for me to insert. The disc (both disposable and reusable) is so easy to insert and genuinely does ease my cramps (how?!). The first couple of days of my period, I wear a tiny pad with it to supplement for mild leakage, but in comparison to the blow out of tampons I was experiencing, this is AMAZING. I seriously only experience small amounts of leakage during my first couple days (even with leaving it in for 12 hours at a time) and then the rest of my period is as if there isn't one. I would recommend this to anyone and have been telling every one of my friends to get it!
