Get the job done, but inconsistent

I ordered this twice, about a month or so apart. The items I got were very different in terms of material. One had a really fuzzy back that didn't adhere well to my command strips (I had to use super glue/staples to keep it secure). The second pack had a nice, smooth gray back that worked well with my command strips. Similarly, from the side it looks like the cork itself is a very different material between them. But overall, they still did their job and hang on the wall as expected. Note I did not use the hanging stickies they came with, and instead opted for heavy duty command strips since I was hanging heavy enamel pins up.
