Q: how long does it take for this to work? does it work immedietly or does it take a few days?
A: You might notice slight effects "immediately", but full effectiveness takes a few days. It is meant for seasonal use, not for acute or occasional exposure. Please go to the Flonase website to educate yourself. It works well but it's designed for persistent allergies and long-term treatment.
submitted bysoonipi1 - 8 years agoA: I know that everyone is different, but for me, flonase worked right away
submitted byKaren - 9 years agoA: Immediately. I find taking this daily with Zyrtec keeps my allergies at bay. Without the nasal spray it's terrible!
submitted byLiz - 9 years agoA: starts to work within an hour or so.

Q: what is the dosage please?
A: Flonaise opens up my ears when I use the spray. It keeps ear infections at bay for me. Great product!
submitted byChristy O - 3 years agoA: Hey, Google! From the label: The recommended starting dosage in adults is 2 sprays (50 mcg of fluticasone propionate each) in each nostril once daily (total daily dose, 200 mcg). The same total daily dose, 1 spray in each nostril administered twice daily (e.g., 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.) is also effective. After the first few days, patients may be able to reduce their dose to 1 spray in each nostril once daily for maintenance therapy. Maximum total daily doses should not exceed 2 sprays in each nostril (total dose, 200 mcg/day). There is no evidence that exceeding the recommended dose is more effective.
submitted bysoonipi1 - 8 years agoA: Flonase used to be a prescription, but now you can buy it over the counter. You can buy them in amount of sprays, and, of course, the higher the sprays, the more money it cost. Unfortunately, my Doctor is wrong in prescribing Flonase to me, for I do not have allergies. My ears have been clogged up for 7 years now and I've learned to live with it after seeing every Dr. there is. Start out by getting the least (60) sprays, which cost about $15.99. Good luck!
