Description
So good it’s almost wrong. Dark ruby in color and brewed with seven varieties of imported malts. Complex in finish, with hints of smoke and peat, paired with a malty richness and a right hook of hop power to give it the bad attitude that a beer named Dirty Bastard has to live up to. Ain’t for the wee lads.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband enjoys trying different ales, so when I saw this new brand and funny named beer, I knew he would want to try it. He said he enjoyed the rich caramel sweetness of it, and said he would buy it again in the future. The name made us laugh, and we definitely won’t forget it. Good quality beer from a brand we hadn’t tried before. Will definitely purchase again in the future or purchase for our friend as a gift as he also likes craft beer. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first sip I wasn't sure if I was going to like it because it's quite strong, it's bold. I love dark stouts and ales but this might be a little too much I thought. but after taking a second and third sip I was like oh yeah this is good, the malt comes through and I do get hints of caramel. Personally I love to also mix dark beers with coke or sprite because I like it a little more sweet and refreshing and I find it enhances the flavors a bit more and I was right. the Malt and caramel really comes through a lot more after adding a bit of coke to it. I would buy this again. I received an incentive to write this review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I got this beer at target to try out. Our first impression with the first sip was that it was very malty, But it ended with a sweet aftertaste, surprisingly. We drink IPA’s often, but this one was a lot harder to finish the bottle. I don’t think I would buy these again, but we thought we would give it a try because the name was very clever and we enjoyed the packaging. I received an incentive to write this review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this brand of beer! This is the third type of ale I have purchased from this brand, and I think the taste is of nice quality. I prefer IPA or light lagers, but my husband loves scotch so I decided to give this one a try. He and I both agreed that the flavor was subtle but nice finish. This is a great ale to have on hand for company or to enjoy as a nice treat. I would recommend! I received an incentive to write this review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a dark reddish brown Scotch Ale. My husband and I we’re looking for a Scotch Ale after we had tried one at an local craft beer location. We were excited to try this beer. This beer did not disappoint. It has a wonderful bold flavor which is more of a sipping beer different and a pleasant variety from our typical Amber beer. It contains 8.5% ABV so one or two is perfect. We would highly recommend this beer for it’s wonderful flavor. I received an incentive to write this review.

Delicious and malty high ABV (8.5%) scotch ale with rich malty notes. I enjoy cooking with this beer and love that it is sold in 6pk bottles when everyone else has been moving to cans.

This beer is like a sticky toffee dessert, so delicious and full of flavor! If you're looking for something different than an IPA or Lager, pick this up. It's a bit higher alcohol so it's like a two-for-one deal. I also added some into chili and it added so much flavor.
Everything you want from a Scotch Ale

Pours a dark reddish brown with a tan head. Aroma is slightly woody, some spice, raisin, caramel. Taste is a gathering sweetness growing into a sweet caramel middle, changing into a rather bitter finish that lingers for a good while. Really enjoyable and I look forward to sharing this beer with friends!
Warming, hearty, well-executed.

Well when you’re craving a solid scotch ale, this standard-setting flagship brew from Founders does not disappoint. From the bottle into a snifter, this poured a rich, mahogany brown, par for the style but in a bolder way. The flavor is an excellent display of malty complexity and finishes nicely with a touch of smoke and a clean-finishing hop bitterness.
