I did my research on this beer and it was rated 100 out of 100 on Ratebeer. I have to say it definitely holds true to that. It's a true porter - no fancy flavor additives. Robust, a little smoke from the malt. Yummy!

Don't be scared of this dark beer! It is so flavorful, roasty and toasty, yet very easy to drink and not too heavy. Not too many breweries make a standard porter anymore with out crazy flavors. Give it a try.

I love the Founders Porter, and it’s not just that it’s a well-balanced dark ale that is roasty without being in your face. I love it because of what other breweries are trying to do to the style. Leave the marshmallow fluff at home for s’mores. I want porters to have the same taste they’ve had since Ben Franklin was brewing this style. More Founders Porter, less Willy wonka.

It's perfect. Unique. Awesome! Founders made a perfect porter, which, I think, one of the best in the world. Caramel and chocolate malt driven with a smooth roast in the background. Pitch black appearance with a dark brown head. It's perfect beer for dark beer and craft beer lovers alike.
Founders' Porter is a long time, everyday go to favorite of mine.

Such a great porter! Robustly hoppy & smooth silkiness that only a porter can deliver. Well-balanced, touch of sweetness and a little hop presence. Definitely will be buying again soon!
