A: All Freshpet recipes come with a Sell by Date. You can safely store the recipe in your refrigerator unopened until that date. While our recipes are made to be served fresh from the fridge, you can feel free to freeze any unused portions upon opening. Keep in mind texture and moisture levels may vary after freezing, but this will not change the nutritional value of the food. Please do your research before buying this food . I purchased this food for my dog for a year and a half , now he has bad skin issues . 2 of my friends pets stopped eating the food as well.. we looked into it and many people have had issues . My dog would also throw up often . We switched food after going to the vet and he’s doing better now .

It has been about one month, and I’m still trying to get my picky eater to eat this food. I have to hand my dog each meal to try to get her to accept. It has a short shelf life once opened, so I’m not certain how I’ll get her to eat it before it expires. But still trying because I’m hoping Freshpet will bring her allergy/scratching relief.

I bought this thinking it was beef and egg. I fed my dog a little in his regular food to transition. When I read the ingredients online, I discovered that this food contains chicken. My dog is allergic to chicken. I’m glad I found out before I fed it to him again. Please relabel you packaging so ingredients are clear. Too bad…into the trash it goes!!! Very disappointed.

Bought this two weeks ago for my picky dog. She ate all of her portion & was happy as ever. She has not eaten all of her kibble portion ever. She will be 2 next week. So happy we tried this.

My dog enjoys the beef/egg bites, however, I must remove, individually and by hand, all the vegetable bits or she will not eat the Fresh Pet Small Dog meal. This is very disturbing and time consuming. We vote to have vegetables removed from the product. Most dog foods don't have loose bits of vegetables in it.

I have used this for several months and my Yorkie loves it. He’s not near as bloated and constipated. It’s been a really good purchase. I have started alternating the chicken for small dogs and he’s enjoying it also. These are the only 2 available in my area.

As I have been cooking for my Yorkiepoo since I had him, I thought to mix in a little dog food with it to save some time when I am busy. My dog is allergic to chicken, so I first bought the Lamb, Turkey, & Beef pack (looking at the ingredients in the back, and it did not say chicken. I wanted to try another that did not have chicken, so I bought the beef and egg (this time, I did not check the back since the other did not have chicken). After consuming, my dog began scratching, and his eyes watered more. I checked the back for the ingredients only to discover it had chicken in it. This brand makes far more chicken products than any other kind of meat. You would think that if it were labeled Beef and Egg, it would not contain chicken! But it does! I gave it one star since my dog ate it (and he is very picky). But freshpet needs to do better with it labels! It is too expensive not to have the correct ingredients inside that match the label.

I tried almost every brand of dog food for my French Bulldog, Pickles. She was showing signs of food allergies and I simply couldn't find the right formula to help her. But this did the trick! We are so excited that she is happy about meal time again and that her irritated, itchy skin is no longer!
