Frog tape for delicate use(yellow), not impressed at all. Wanted to make sure I had quality tape so not to peel the paint from risers. Did not perform as advertised. Peeling paint made for double work and purchasing a different brand

Bought the delicate tape specifically as I had issues with paint pulling on the standard green frog tape. I mistakenly thought this would do the job where the other failed. It still pulled the paint! In more than just the two places as well - these were just the big parts. It created a lot more work trying to make it better when I was hoping it would save me time.. Won’t be buying again.
Most definitely not delicate

3 weeks ago I had my walls and ceilings replastered, they were then whitewashed, followed by white matt paint. Yesterday I applied the tape to the ceiling so i good cut in, the tape has pulled off all the paint and some of the plaster from my ceiling, now having to fix ceiling again and repaint without getting paint on the walls. What a waste of effort.

I bought this wanting a professional finish to my skirtings. I finished the job in a couple of days and it stripped all the paint off the wall. Worst painting experience ever. It said it was low tack but definitely not buying this again

Bought this tape specifically for delicate surfaces. The tape was on the surface for less than 30 minutes and when removed took a huge chunk of paint with it from a wood surface and also removed the paint of my taps.

Just bought a roll of delicate surface frog tape. Applied it very cautiously to my wallpaper surface, that has been in place for quite some time, whilst I ran a very fine bead of decorators caulk into a corner. Ran the caulk into the corner and removed the tape all within a few minutes. The frog tape took the whole surface off the paper. I am beyond disappointed.

I bought Frog tape last month for taping before painting the bathroom. It saved me time and money by not letting the cutting process run down onto the crown moulding.

Masked off ceiling line for spray over level 5 smooth walls with 3 day cured paint, taped 12ft plastic to the yellow frog with regular masking take. After ceiling sprayed came back an hour later and ALL the masking had come off. Won't ever trust it again. Its a great tape but the adhesive is too low tack to stay in place.

Yes this is great for painting…but put a roll of the delicate yellow tape in your kitchen drawer, too. I use it to label my frozen food containers (e.g. black bean soup), it can go through the dishwasher no problem & unlike masking tape, peels off easily whenever I want to replace it. Train your kids to use yellow tape for everyday uses & no more damage. Need to tape something on the window to trace? Or put up a sign on their door? Go ahead, comes off easily every time.
Waste of Money and caused more work

I bought this tape specifically for a feature wall where I wanted the lines nice and crisp. I waited 24 hours (as it says) before I put it on as I had just painted the ceiling. I painted my feature wall but am so so so disappointed and a bit annoyed that nearly all the paint on the ceiling came off with the Yellow Frogtape specifically for delicate surfaces!!!! Would not recommend and now I have to piece in my ceiling again. Grrrr

I decorated a room last year and i had to get the ceiling replastered so I wanted to protected the finished walls. I cover the walls with polythene sheets and as it was wallpaper I wanted to use a delicate masking tape so I thought I would use Frog yellow tape. This was the worst tape I’ve ever used it wouldn’t stick to the wall and had to revert to a cheaper brand but it worked much better. This is the first and the last time I’ll use this over priced useless product.

I bought this in the understanding that the product was low tack. I used this on a painted wall which I had left for over 24hrs. When I removed the tape it has actually removed some of the plaster with it!!

First and last time I would use this. Placed on a wall that was emulsioned and then painted the wall next to it. When I removed the tape it took the emulsion off! Won’t be using again.

Used FrogTape delicate for the first time. I was on a tight schedule and had to apply to primer that had only three hours to set. I painted a harlequin pattern on a cork floor and the result was fabulous. I’ve read a few negative reviews and would like to point out that every pro job will need touch ups - part of the process. And make sure you press firmly on the edge receiving the paint first.

Applied tape to 1 year old painted wall to allow me to paint base trim. Primed and painted base trim and when I removed the tape it pulled two layers of wall paint off, completely down to the primer on the drywall. I was doing the work for a customer of my handyman business. May have cost me her business. Not pleased at all.
DID NOT STICK!

Took 3 hours to mask my whole house and when I was ready to paint, all the tape and masking was already starting to fall off the walls. It wouldn’t stick at all.

I use FrogTape frequently. It is great for delicate surfaces. I use it in my art work and I have never been disappointed. Like all tape, it will pull off some surface if it left on too long -which I found out when I left it on the closet walls for several months!

I almost didn't buy this stuff due to the negative reviews, but gave it a shot and it worked just fine. I wanted the ceiling one color and the walls a second color. I painted the ceiling first with two coats of latex. I waited 48 hours, then applied the tape over the freshly painted ceiling. I then trimmed in my latex wall coat right up to the edge of the tape. I let that dry just long enough to apply a second trim coat. As soon as I was done with coat number 2, I removed the tape while the wall paint was still wet and was left with a nice clean line. The tape removed easily and didn't pull down any of the new paint it was adhered to so it worked as it should. The only negative I can find is that I wish the tape was a little more flexible to make it easier to apply to edges that are not perfectly straight, but this is a minor point. I think people that have trouble with this tape aren't using it properly. The key is to remove the tape as soon as possible once you've cut in your edge. Get the job painted and get the tape off ASAP and it will work fine. I'll use this stuff again.
