Description
Frontier Co-Op Bulk Organic Cut & Sifted Stinging Nettle Leaf is a high-quality organic herb with a pleasantly herbaceous taste with a slight bitterness and a faint herbaceous aroma. Stinging nettle has a variety of applications. It can make tasty and rejuvenating herbal teas, soups, smoothies, and stir-frys. It is also a typical ingredient in DIY skin care products, as well as shampoos. The fresh leaves irritate the skin, but the 'stinging' constituents quickly dissipate when the herb is dried. Stinging nettle leaves have a mildly bitter flavor. The taste is almost like spinach, with a touch of Italian parsley. Our Organic stinging nettle leaves are picked right before the blossoms bloom to deliver the best leaves possible. Best used in wellness teas, soups, stews, ointments, shampoos, powders, creams.

I was looking for loose leaf tea and found this. I am happy with the freshness and the full flavor. It tastes great and is just what I was looking for. I feel better when I drink it. I believe it helps with my mast cell activation disease A little goes a long way and I reuse mine for 2 brews. The second cup is just as good as the first. .

Great for tea or tinctures! I have been using Frontier Co-Op organic products since 1970. Stinging nettle helps with the liver, and immune system cleansing.

I have been upping my healthy lifestyle so it only seemed natural that I move to super healthy tea. I started with dandelion tea harvested from my yard and was really happy with this. I would brew up a big batch and put it in the frig for a refreshing cold drink. With the extreme heat the dandelions dried up so I needed to order quality tea. I discovered nettle tea has all the attributes of dandelion tea and then some so I made the switch. It has a mild pleasant taste alone. I thought I might have to add honey but although it does give a pleasing sweet taste it is not necessary. Again I brew up a big batch to refrigerate for cold drinks throughout the day. Very happy with how obviously fresh the tea. Highly recommend

I brew in conjunction with dandelion root for very strong tea , using leaves/roots as well in smoothies. I use nettle especially in late winter till end of spring for allergy prep and resilience. Same in the Fall.

Been using this for about 6 weeks. We add a tiny amount of stevia sweetener. Make it by the gallon. No immediate miraculous results yet. Will let you know in six months or so, as to results.

electrolytes & trace minerals

For me making nettles tea is the absolute best way to get all the electrolytes in the body. The body just soaks up the really high calcium, magnesium, potassium, zinc, manganese, silica copper etc levels that are in nettles. They are already is absorbable form. Excellent for the hair and skin too - shine, strength and luster increases... I drink at least two strong cups a day.. Nettles are also naturally low in aluminum (which is in all teas & leaves etc unless removed by extra processes). The taste of nettles is a bit "grassy", I may add some lemon, but it's all good considering the benefit's. This is a health tea..

I have been using Frontier Organic nettle for years and was so happy Swanson decided to carry it. However, the last bag I got was a huge disappointment. I called Frontier and was told that they acquired a new supplier for their nettle. The previous nettle used to turn the tea into a brilliant emerald green. The new nettle only turns the tea brown. I sure hope they go back to the old supplier again.
