WeekAAfter After openning the product, the whole house and room smells really bad at least for a week. The smell is due to the material with which it is made.

As said in the reviews this thing really does smell like fish and the sizing is a bit off. Don’t even attempt the pull off the warning sticker you will rip the foam up due to positioning of the sticker I had to take it off for it to lay flat! It does seem soft but I’m not sure I will keep it due to the smell alone!

I have never written a review on any product in my life. But, the smell is so toxic. It honestly smells like dead fish.

First, I had to let this thing air out for OVER A MONTH--and, even then, the smell was still there, though not as bad. I finally ended up putting it into a zipper-encased alltergen cover, which made it at least bearable to sleep on by camouflaging the remaining smell. So, after a full month of airing it out and encasing it, I slept on it for exactly one month. By that time it had broken down SO much and there was ZERO support, which causes me to wake up every morning with a horrible back ache now. What a waste of almost $200. Lesson learned: If you want a quality sleep product, don't buy this brand--and don't by at Target. NOTE: I wrote another review of this exact same product on the Target site about a month ago about only the smell. But Target decided not to publish it. Hopefully they won't censor this review.

Once I opened the box, the smell was just unbearable and got worse as I tried to let it air out. My entire place smells like a fishy smell. I opened the windows and I'm giving it 1 more full day to air out. I'm not sure I will be able to manage the smell and keep this. Sizing is also off.

Good thickness for a temporary floor mattress, but the quality is an issue. The foam came damaged and stained and can get ripped very easily. Not worth the price at all!

Sleeps like a dream, but you must handle it with extreme care. DON’T attempt to remove sticker. Wish they didn’t place it there, but we didn’t try to remove it as reviews mentioned it would tear if you did. Don’t attempt to grab and pull it - it will rip. But if you can get it in place and put the cover on it, the sleep is phenomenal. Wish materials were more durable, but the wonderful sleep has made it worthwhile putting up with the extra care needed when moving it.

One of the most comfortable mattress toppers around, I sleep very well on this and felt good the next morning when I woke up, it smells when you first open on but it goes away after a day or two, it's no big deal. I am thinking about buying another one for another bed I have. I would definitely recommend

DO NOT BUY. Smells like dangerous chemicals and customer service refuses to help.

Super soft! We bought because the hotel bed was awful and we were there for over a week. Made the hotel stay bearable! Will be using it for all future travel.

Oh NO buy something else. Smells horribly. Sinks too deep you need someone to come fish you out and rescue out of this hole. Not for peeps w back issues, I was up all night. Gave me a headache for 2 days w that smell. Returned next day.

I truly do not understand where these bad ratings are coming from regarding this mattress topper. I bought this topper 8 months ago to use on my new king size mattress that cost me over 3k. Worst mattress in the world for my back. I bought this cover and not only is it soothing for my back, it is also cooling. I would highly recommend this mattress cover, especially if you have a mattress that is causing you lots of pain. There was a slight smell at the beginning, which was expected, but it went away after a few days. I’m glad I didn’t read the reviews before I bought it. My back pain from the mattress and the fact that I couldn’t return the mattress was convincing enough.

Topper smells like dead fish. I thought it just needed to be aired out but the smell was so bad I just took it back.

I wanted to love this mattress topper, but after one night, I immediately returned it. The smell from the topper was hard to get past and still lingered in my clean bed sheets. However, the sleep quality I had with the actual mattress topper was not good, which definitely solidified my decision to return the product.

I’ve had this for three months now and I would NOT recommend it. The sizing is off. It hangs off the edges of my king bed a lot. I checked the tag and euro king is not listed. Just lists “King.” It is so easy to tear!!! Huge divots can easily be made, quickly!! Just repositioning it tears it. I rolled it folded it gently when we moved and it tore in multiple sections. It did help my back on a new mattress that was too firm. That’s the only reason why I even felt okay giving it one star. I would NOT recommend purchasing this. It looks sloppy and tears easily. It was more expensive than other highly rated ones on Amazon. I purchased in store for convenience. Now I’m stuck with it. I wish I would have spent $199 on a different one.

Do not buy this mattress pad. All the reviews about the smell and resulting headaches and nausea are true. Ruined my life for 3 days. While it is comfortable, it is also poison!

The smell literally gave me headaches everyday. Almost sick to my stomach. It started changing colors & I literally have no idea why. After a week it’s very uncomfortable & really hard to adjust too. I wish I didn’t throw the box away because I am disappointed especially with how much it cost!
