The hose that comes with it is a pretty unusual size. I haven't been able to find anything that it's compatible with and haven't been able to find a suitable adapter. I took the detachable part of the hose to Lowes and they confirmed it's 7/8ths, and the threading is pretty fine. But I can't find an adapter to connect that to ANY water source in my home. I did rig something up to just cram the hose from my shower head into the rubber fitting on the inside of the hose on the washing machine, but because the water pressure varies throughout the wash cycle, it shoots out in the middle and sprays water everywhere, so you really do need a compatible adapter with the correct threading to get a water-tight seal. When I did run it briefly with the rigged hose adapter, this thing is REALLY small. You'll be lucky to fit a couple pairs of jeans and a few shirts in there at a time. It'll do like 3-5 towels per load, max. I bought this to stick it to my landlord after she doubled the price of the coin-op washer/dryer downstairs, but the joke is very clearly on me because I find myself still paying for the coin-op machines rather than deal with this poorly-designed portable unit.
