Q: It states that the top consists of 4 leather pieces stitched together. Are the sides leather too?

A: Hi Gwen, Yes, this product is made of bicast leather.

A: I just received 2 of the Full Leather Storage Cube Ottoman Dark Brown - Baxton Studio and they have a hinged lid.

Love them. "Leather" is maybe a stretch, but still, from a distance can't really tell difference between the ottoman and our high quality leather sofa. Perfect for a footrest, and easy enough to pick up and move around, can easily store two under a sofa table when not in use. Hinge is good quality for storage under the lid. Very happy with this purchase.
