Overall its a good looking bookcase and the walnut color is more brown. The instructions is okay and not as detailed like ikea instructions. If anyone is setting this bookcase up...a good tip is to leave the drawer setup and back cover setup last because in the instructions its hard to tell which end drawer rail should be facing. So leave that setup for last.

Love the look of it and works perfectly for what I needed. However, the directions are HORRIBLE and poorly written. Many of the steps were incorrect and I had to figure it out myself. Now that it’s put together it’s fine, but I don’t think it was worth the 5 hours it took to construct.

More than 8 pieces damaged, the holes where many screws go where not in their proper place ! I had to be creative without making it look worse so the parts could be put together. Also on the board that goes in the drawer why would you put a very big hazard sticker on it that would damage the piece !!! I am very disappointed and angry after it took me 3 1/2 trying to put it together with not so clear instructions. Very disappointed with a product I was really looking forward to having my books displayed on.

Same complaints as another reviewer. The instructions are absolutely terrible and inconsistent within their own illustrations. Got to a point where the properly assembled pieces didn't even line up or screw together properly. Just seriously terrible - its going to be a pain to return this giant thing.

Package arrived torn up and half open. We were okay with that but when we went to put it together found that the instructions were miserable and further the very first thing you are supposed to screw in doesn't line up with the holes at all. Returning and will not buy from this manufacturer again.
