Q: does this product actually work on toenail fungus?

submitted by ralph - 5 years ago
  • A: No, the products says it is NOT for nail ( or toenail) fungus, just skin fungus.

submitted byJerseyReno - 4 years ago
  • A: Fungi-Nail liquid is clinically proven to cure and prevent skin fungus. It should be applied to affected skin around the toenails and between toes. It is not for nail or scalp fungus.

Q: It’s called “Fungi NAIL” but it’s not for nails? That’s incredibly frustrating and very misleading.

submitted by M - 8 months ago
  • A: Fungal toenail infections can lead to a skin fungus infection between/around your toes, and untreated skin fungus between/around your toes can infect healthy toenails. So, it is important to treat the skin around your toenails and between the toes with Fungi‐Nail. Treating your skin with Fungi‐Nail may help prevent fungus from spreading to healthy skin and toenails. While there is no Over‐the‐Counter treatment for nail fungus, Fungi‐Nail ointment is effective at curing and preventing fungus on the skin (athlete’s foot or interdigital tinea pedis) on/between the toes which if untreated can lead to nail fungus. -Fungi Nail Team

I tried the Fungi Nail Anti-Fungal Solution While I didn't like it, I noticed in the fine print that it shouldn't be used on fingers. This important detail should be more prominent on the packaging.

Caveat emptor! This is the most misleading name for a product ever. It is for athlete's foot, NOT for what you'd think it would be for. So deceptive.

I’d recommend this except that the applicator brush is terrible. A click pen would work much better.

I use at the cuticle and at the edge under the nail. You will notice the white stuff under the nail gets soft enough to scrape out. Also file or if able to cut the nail down as the new nail grows out. Do all this after shower and make sure nails are DRY!

The tiny print on the back of the label says it is not effective on nails. Why is it called Fungi Nail? I have been using this as directed for months (not weeks... months!). I have also been filing my nails down regularly (about once a week) as suggested by other reviewers. I know that nothing will "cure" the already affected nail and that you need to wait for new healthy nail to grow out once the fungus is dead. I have had no new healthy growth after several months of use.

This is not a treatment that takes a week. Not everything is instant and gives you instant results and some things it's worth waiting for. I noticed my big toe nail looking odd. Upon closer inspection, I realized it was toenail fungus and thanks to a legit review on here, I bought this stuff and started to use it. Yes, it says its not for use on nails but here me out. It will work with time! I filed my nail a bit as a previous review had stated and put it on the nail bed at the cuticle and over the whole nail. I realized I just needed to put it on the cuticle area and as the nail grew out I was amazed. The new nail is growing in normal and healthy and I now have quite a ridge/edge between the healthy new nail and the old fungus nail. So will it cure the current nail fungus? not really BUT....the great news is that the new nail growth will be healthy. It will take months as the old grows out and the new takes it's place but it's really a simple add to an evening routine post shower to apply a swipe of this to the cuticle area. I tried to upload a photo of my nail showing the new healthy nail with the old ugly nail but Targets sight is not letting me upload and won't say why. Only that it could not be uploaded.

Confused

3 out of 5 stars
Target Mama - 3 years ago, Verified purchaser
Buyer beware: the packaging seems to be at best confusing, and at worst misleading. It seems this product is for preventing nail fungus, not treating it. The box specifically says, “Not for nail or scalp fungus” despite being called “FungiNail.” It bills itself as an “anti-fungal” so maybe it’s preventative, or used for other ailments? Since we bought it and started using it before seeing this note on the box, still using it to see if it works. Can’t attest to how well it works. Just disappointed in the packaging.

It works! My nails were starting to lift and the whites were uneven and taking over nail…completely resolved. I used it religiously twice a day on clean naked nails. I think used it for two or three weeks. My nails look the best in years-and I’m never going to a nail salon again ugh. All nail salons are so gross!

I started using this product in September. I followed the directions very carefully. First, you have to file down the thickness of your toenails before you start. And, you have to continue to file them down throughout the treatment. The treatment won’t work unless you do that. I’ve read all of the reviews. Many stated that it doesn’t work on nails, and they didn’t see any nail growth. While it is true that it is stated on the bottle that this doesn’t work on nails directly, it really does, over time. You must be patient. I wipe the affected nails with alcohol prep pads to clean them before I treat them. I have noticed that both of my large toes are finally starting to grow out thinner from the cuticles. Also, I finally have free edges on both nails, aka nail growth. I can’t stress this enough, you must be patient. It’s going to take several bottles to get the results I want, but that’s ok. I definitely recommend this over the Target version. Fungi Nail has way more beneficial ingredients.
