Just bought this today to be able to ice down my rotator cuff. The straps are unusually difficult to figure out in regards to placement. It’s kinda confusing to me. For the most part, it does the job, just doesn’t fit quite right. Maybe better illustrated pictures would help.

Holds the cold packs in place but hard to use

These gel packs stay cold for a really long time and so far have not caused freeze burn problems on my skin like some other artificial ice packs. I haven’t tried it for heat. I took points off because neither the picture on the box, nor anything online really shows how to use this wrap and it’s difficult to figure out. Maybe mine just has the Velcro facing the wrong way because the attachments don’t make sense. I always feel like I’m doing it wrong because they can’t lay flat: I have to twist the wrap over to make the Velcro meet the other piece of fabric.

It's comfy and the hot and cold packs work, but I'm not sure if this product works as an actual shoulder brace, or if it's just designed to conveniently keep hot or cold packs on your shoulder. I have swimmer's shoulder that flares up on occasion and I thought having some support for it might help. The packaging is a little vague on whether or not it helps with impingement. I haven't tried a copper-fit sleeve yet, so I may change this review in a few weeks.
