I've been using this Island Fresh scent of Gain detergent for over 6 years now. It cleans my laundry very well every time. I use it as a stain treatment, too, and it really gets everything out that i would expect. It saves me money as the price is more affordable. The scent it leaves behind in my laundry is beautiful without being overwhelming. I really like the 1.2 gallon size container with its bulb to release the soap into the measuring cup. It's nice to just set it on its side, top of my dryer to dispense the soap. This soap was recommended to me by my daughter, and now I recommend it to others. Our house is definitely a Gain house.

This detergent works well and smells great, but the Gain + Aroma Boost Island Fresh detergent has caused my 5yo daughter to have a pretty severe reaction on her private parts (itchy, red, raw & painful). She doesn’t have sensitivity issues and our family used the Gain + Ultra Oxi Waterfall Delight for 6 months before this and everything was fine. I took the time to rewash all of our daughter’s underwear to remove the Island Fresh detergent and used OTC medicine to clear up her issue, which worked well. After everything was cleared up on her, I decided to wash her underwear yet again in the Island Fresh detergent to be absolutely sure this was her issue… it took only 48-72 hours for the reaction to come back. No other part of her body has been affected, just the one area. My husband and I will finish our remaining product as we are ok with it (reasoning for the 3 stars instead of 1), but will not repurchase in the future. I will go back to ordering Gain + Ultra Oxi Waterfall Delight or Tide.

This is my go to laundry detergent to use for my large family and it lasts us a long time. The smell is great on our clothes and gets the stains out especially from smaller kids clothing.

I absolutely love the scent of Island in my laundry! It's my personal favorite, and not just because I happen to live on an Island. This incredible fragrance not only effectively cleans your clothes, but also leaves them smelling so fresh and clean, as if they were just washed right next to the ocean! And the best part? Unlike other detergents, there's no build-up or residue left behind. It simply does its job perfectly, making you want to constantly sniff your clothes all day long. Well, at least that's how I feel about it!

Not only does this detergent, fabric softener and dryer sheets smell amazing it also cleans everything from sauce stains to grease! I love love love this product! Please don't ever get rid of this scent! It's so comforting to crawl into my bed at nice and smell like the beach ;) My husband loves the smell as well!

I'm sensitive to smells and have sensitive skin as well and this is the only detergent and fabric softener I don't have an issue with smell or irritating my skin. Please don't discontinue this scent in any of the products: detergent, fabric softener, dryer sheets ect.

I LOVE the Island Fresh scent! I have had so much trouble finding the detergent and fabric softener in the past few months. I saw another review saying it was discontinued. I sure hope this is not true!! I do not care for the other scents, not even the original.
