The different sections of the pack hold different parts of the detergent; when they mix together, the result is the ahhhmaizing, fragrant clean all of us adore. A: Carolyn, this is a great question. The tub for your Flings!™ is recyclable. It is plastic number 1. Please ensure that your area's recycling programs support the recycling of this type of container. The lid component is recyclable only in only a few communities. Q: I would love to use pods instead of liquid detergent, but I wash in cold water and I am concerned with the pods not dissolving completely and clogging my pipes?

Just remember to always add the Flings™ to the washing machine drum before you add the clothing, and don't overload the washer. Q: Directions on most pods say large and/or heavy loads say to use 2 pods. I rarely do small loads so I need to use 2 it becomes uneconomical. I generally use liquids and can't afford to move to pods if it doubles my cost.

Due to the absorbency of your bathroom rug, we'd recommend not washing many other absorbent items at the same time. This will allow maximum water for the Fling to dissolve and distribute. I love these flings! They smell fresh but haven't bothered my sensitive skin. It's so convenient to just throw one or two in the washer. I've never had an issue with them not dissolving properly like other brands. Highly recommend!

We love Gain flings for our laundry, needs. Our clothes always come out, clean and smelling wonderful. We always have gain flings in our laundry cabinet and will never be without them. I like the compact pods compared to the big jug of liquid. It save space in our tiny cabinet so we can store more things like the Gain scent beads!

It may be helpful to know that the product is designed to dissolve when it comes in contact with water. If exposed to moisture at any point, the Flings can become stuck together, leak, or burst. We always recommend storing the container in a dry area, while keeping the package tightly closed between uses. Since the Flings are leaking, we don't recommend using them.
