Gardein Frozen Ultimate Fish Meat Alternative - 6ct/15oz

I’ve been a vegetarian for 12 years and have always been a fan of the Gardein products since they came out. The fish alternative was always one of my favorites, but the targets near me have never had them in stock. Until they came out with this one in the new packaging. They are delicious and have a good amount of protein. I’ve used them in so many different ways and it is so easy to make. The reason I’m giving 4 stars is obviously for the price of what you get. Vegetarian meat alternatives have always been ridiculously expensive in my opinion. The bag is around $11 where I live and you only get I think 5-6 fish fillets. I have a family of 4 (all mostly vegetarians who love this product as well) and this doesn’t really cover all of us. Overall a great meat alternative, just wished they would come out with bigger bags for a decent price.

These taste good but there are only 5 not 6 filets.

Very tasty fish less filets .. baked in oven for 20 minutes at 420 degrees; yummy 😋

I prefer the battered fish. I can get breaded from other brands. This was a huge disappointment. Will not purchase again.

I've been a vegetarian since 1987, this is the first thing close to fish I've tried. Excellent flavor and texture. Can't wait to try more of your products!

These are delicious but we are paying for 6 not 5.

Wow. I thought the original version was great, but this one is even better, and lower fat. Highly recommend. We use them for fish tacos every Friday. Thank you!

I loved the original version, but where those fall short these pick up the slack. I will admit that the old version tastes SLIGHTLY better than these, but they were tiny and always so oily to me. The oil might not have bothered some people but I always hated that lol these patties are bigger and don't have that oiliness. This tastes closer to actual fish than the original patties. It would've been nice if both were still on the market for those who prefer the other but personally I'm glad for the change. I think I will buy these more than I bought the original (even though they cost more).

Awful! I’m not certain who thought this breaded version was a better idea than the original battered version, but they were very, very wrong. Please bring back the battered version!

The texture was almost perfect to real fish filets. But it did need tarter sauce. But I'll get them again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This plant based breaded fish goes really well in any sandwich and makes you fall in love with your lunch or dinner. Crunchy at the outside and soft from the inside is exactly what we look and this doesn't disappoint us. And the best part is that it is plant based. We enjoy it either with chips sometime or use it with our sandwiches to turn it into a full meal.
