Q: How come the product varies in color? 1 bottle I bought had dark brown pills, while the other bottle (that I purchased at the same time) had light brown pills.

submitted by No - 1 year ago
  • A: It's because of the difference in the expiration date. I think something chang d w the formula.

  • A: Nestle bought out GOL a while ago and I imagine changes have now been made to the formula of this product, but I can only guess this since the company is not outright saying it

submitted byAnon - 6 months ago
  • A: Thank you for reaching out to us. We are aware of the variation that can occur in the color, texture, smell, and taste of our products. Our Quality Department has assured us that this is very typical with our products and has not affected the safety or efficacy of the products. We understand that real organic foods grown in rich soil will have natural variations that can affect texture, color, taste, and smell of the products from batch to batch. Ingredients that are reaped in the summer months can be very different in composition from the ingredients that are reaped in fall, resulting in these changes. Only products that are made with synthetic ingredients will not have changing consistency. The safety and efficacy of our products is of utmost concern. All raw materials have strict specifications, and their Certificates of Analysis are kept on record. We also test all finished products not only for heavy metals, but for microbial growth, and pathogenic species such as E. coli and Salmonella. Please click on the following link to find more information on Garden of Life's testing; https://www.gardenoflife.com/testing At Garden of Life, we exist to Empower Extraordinary Health, and your health, and the health of all our consumers, is our first priority. More importantly, we are confident in the safety of our formulas.

Q: I am confused as to why these vitamins are green before the expiration date of 9/2025. After that they are brown. What has changed in the formula?

submitted by Keri - 1 year ago
  • A: Thank you for your interest in Garden of Life’s products. This is to confirm that the color you are seeing is absolutely normal for our mykind tablets. Our mykind Organic Tablets are made from whole food ingredients therefore if the tablets are exposed to air (once the bottle is opened), it is normal for them to oxidize and turn darker/black. This does not affect the quality or the efficacy of the product.
