Q: when it says maximum battery charge life 30 minutes does that mean when it is fully charged that is how long it can run? I'm looking for a camera to run all night to record repeated vandalism

A: Yes, that is correct, the battery of the Garmin Dash Cam 67W is rated for up to 30 minutes of usage per charge. A constant power source for the Garmin Dash Cam is required to use the Parking Guard feature to record while the vehicle is parked. The Parking Guard feature allows your Garmin Dash Cam to record a 15 second video automatically while your vehicle is parked if your Garmin Dash Cam detects an impact. This can be used with an always-on 12V port, Constant Power Cable (010-12530-23), or Parking Mode Cable (010-12530-03).

The initial setup and placement can be tricky. Besides that, great product. I recommend the constant power plug from Garmin as well. I was able to attach the cord thru that and keep the wire off the dash.

Took longer than expected to link to app, about 30 minutes to troubleshoot the dashcam not pairing to the app. After it was paired It's worked without issue. Purchased an after market dongle to power through rearview mirror vs running the usb cable to the center console and it looks great. Being able to save and view video to app and use my phone is convenient. Optional features such as lane departure work well. Auto saves if it determines possible collision or issue. Overall great purchase!

I deducted one start because it was slightly a pain to sync with my phone and the app. Maybe because its also synced to two others, or the Bluetooth with the car/radio were interfering with it? Not sure, but I did get it to pair. This is the 3rd Garmin camera that I've purchased. The 57, Mini, and now the 67W. The 67W has a better POV to the side of the hood. I feel like this will pick up the opposing traffics traffic lights better should i need that evidence. I feel very comfortable with these Garmin cameras and its comforting that I'll have evidence when that time comes. With drivers today you never can be to careful, and having a silent witness to back your story is worth it ten fold.

Highly recommend for the quick set up, ease of use, and features for the price. Each individual will have their own way of installation, but the basics of sticking it to the windshield and plugging in power is very simple. You can have this up and running within five minutes. This dash cam excels at being just that, an excellent dash cam. Video quality is very good (why I gave 8/10 on recommendation), buttons are easy to use, menu system is intuitive. The necessary app for connection has a mediocre user interface, but able to get what I need done. It's great that no subscription is needed and the app will keep your video for up to 24 hours. More than enough time to download your video if necessary. Also comes with a 16 GB memory card which also keeps the video until space runs out then it will overwrite. I ended up getting a third-party wiring harness - sold separately - to supply power from my vehicle's eyesight safety system. This makes the installation and wiring clean with an additional 10 minutes to install.

The quality I upload to my phone doesn't seem to pick up the license plate off the car that crashed into my vehicle but other than that it's a solid dash cam. Does not come with rear cam.

I love Garmin products. I had replace a prior dashcam it went dead after a couple of years. This one works pretty well. Very wide lens. I probably would get one not so wide in the future. However it meets all the criteria.

This is a great dash cam. It takes great video. The driving safety features are a definite bonus. Small compact design. Easy set up. I don't use the back screen so the camera is hidden behind my rear mirror. I forget it is there. The drive app is functional but should have better video download capabilities. The Vault needs an update and should have forced downloading.

Problems after six months, wouldn’t update, kept freezing. Constant troubleshooting with customer support, finally today after another two hours of failed troubleshooting they let me return it but will only send a refurbished unit as a replacement. Hoping this one works better. Would not recommend.
