I have had my 1030 for a little over a year. In the last few months it will not charge when plugged in. You have to pull the plug and reinsert it a few times and once it connects even then it may not stay connected to give it a full charge. Very disappointing. Also yesterday it wouldn’t connect with my phone. I had to go through the Bluetooth process twice and never got to use it on a ride so still not sure if it is working properly. Very unsatisfied.

I’ve had this for a couple years and I love it. Excellent battery life, bright screen and responsive touch screen. I’m a huge Garmin fan! I’ve got this paired with the Rally XC pedals and rear radar.

Glitching on initial start up and doesn’t load 3rd party GPX files easily. Bought it specifically for the Tour divide 2024 so I guess it’s an cyclometer.

My old computer struggled on long days when I would leave it running eating lunch and taking brakes. I’d have to go in battery save mode just to finish the ride. Identical ride a year later and I finished with 65% charge

I love my Edge 1030 plus! I previously had the 830 and lost it so I decided to upgrade to the 1030 and it was worth it. The screen size is amazing. It's so large so it's easier to see, even when your eyes are tired from a full day of riding. The battery life seems better than I remember the 830 having when it was new.

I have been using a Garmin on my bike for longer than I can remember. I think I started with a 305. There have been ups and downs with the products. Recently, before the 1030, I had a 520+ and an 830 or 840, can't remember which. They are all awesome except for a repeated failing, where both the elevation and grade measures would just go whacky for no clear reason. I love my Garmin and I really hope this issue does not remain with the 1030+. It's easy to set up, easy to use, loving the bigger screen and newer features. Garmin support over these years, decades, has been great overall. Between the product and the support when the product goes awry, I'm sticking with Garmin.

There is no way to stop this thing from re-routing. Sometimes, yes I know I'm off route, I'll just catch the next turn or turn around but the device wants to create some convoluted correction course. Good battery life though... charges well from my dynamo hub. Is it possible to update trail forks? No it is NOT. Tried plotting a route on the bike path I was on to the next town. Insisted on routing to the parallel highway.

I’ve got my new Garmin 1030 plus few weeks back a fell in love with it right away! The touch screen size is just perfect, intuitive display and profile settings makes the user experience quite easy regardless you are a recreational or competitive cyclist. Garmin got it right.

I ended up giving up on using the Edge 1030plus as I was never able to get it to sync properly with my phone software. Rather than updating and using the stock software, I was relegated to third party software that just worked much better from my phone.

The Edge 1030 Plus is one piece of equipment I would not ride without. It provides a ton of information about the ride and rider but also connects to my Garmin Varia radar providing both visual and audio signals from approaching cars. Love it!

For the first ride I used the save course and Garmin kept calculating. the route was 45, but Garmin only recorded 12 miles for me. Not quite sure what happened. It was a saved course route.

Been using this GPS for over 2 years; excellent Unit. Great GPS reception capability in dense canopy both on the road or in dense forest during gravel/cyclocross training/racing. The simplicity of the menus are great--easy to maneuver and adjust to your needs. No heavy bells and whistles on the unit but excellent with power meter interaction, etc. It is very ease to sync electronics and equipment for many bikes. I use this one unit on 5 different bikes--no problem with the sync. Additionally, the unit has great interaction with the Garmin Tacx NEO 2T Smart Trainer which is used for Trainer Road Workout's and formal e-racing from multiple platforms. I display 5 items on a single screen, i.e., power meter, cadence, heart rate, speed, and distance. As well, with a quick swipe of the screen with your finger you can move through other critical data screens. The screen is big enough to easily see all to include a good reading for vehicles identified from the Varia RCT715 radar and camera. And the most significant capability with all of these units is the amazing customer support. It is great to talk and work with representatives that know their products but actually use these products as well should you have a question. The Edge 1030 Plus is one of those items that I would look no further for a great GPS--a true workhouse of a GPS Unit.

I bought this cycling GPS to use the map feature to navigate. I live in South Asia and routinely travel around the region and was surprised to find the limited to non existent detail to the map feature.
