Easy to read large screen

The large screen is great to easily find and sort data. Screen pages are highly customizable to show only what you want. Battery life lasts multiple rides (2-5 hours each) before needing a charge. Easy to save and share favorite routes with other riders. Syncs great with other Garmin devices, but sometimes will drop my Polar HR monitor. Overall solid biking computer
Charging issues

I have had my 1030 for a little over a year. In the last few months it will not charge when plugged in. You have to pull the plug and reinsert it a few times and once it connects even then it may not stay connected to give it a full charge. Very disappointing. Also yesterday it wouldn’t connect with my phone. I had to go through the Bluetooth process twice and never got to use it on a ride so still not sure if it is working properly. Very unsatisfied.

The 1030 works great, I like the active map capability, and the new power features they have added to this model. Very accurate and does a good job of keeping track of my cycling fitness. Sometimes getting it to start recording is a challenge especially if you start moving and the system has not responded to your button or screen pushing.

My first "real" bike computer. Love the Climb Pro feature. Easy to pair with sensors on multiple bikes. Easy to send it routes from "Ride with GPS" or Strava.

Intuitive touch screen interface makes this an easy to use cycle computer. GPS syncs quickly, much more reliable than my previous 530. Integration with other Garmin devices is fantastic.

Tons of options to customize workouts, navigation, and how you view your data. The screen is large, crisp, and responsive. The battery life is amazing, lasts forever and doesn't drain hardly at all when left to sit for a long time if you don't have the opportunity to get outside and ride. The connection and data sharing via the Garmin Connect App is seamless and it uses the data from Strava/Connect to suggest rides/workouts.

Replaced my Garmin 520 plus with the 1030 plus. The larger color screen is MUCH easier to read and see my data at quick glance. Connects seamlessly with HRM, power meters, etc.

I’ve had this for a couple years and I love it. Excellent battery life, bright screen and responsive touch screen. I’m a huge Garmin fan! I’ve got this paired with the Rally XC pedals and rear radar.

So nice to have more battery life and accurate maps. Upgraded from a much older Garmin Edge that was unable to keep up with the longer rides.

Glitching on initial start up and doesn’t load 3rd party GPX files easily. Bought it specifically for the Tour divide 2024 so I guess it’s an cyclometer.

BIG Screen

Love the larger screen. My old eyes had a hard time seeing the data on my old Edge 530. The larger screen is really nice. The touch screen works well compared to the Edge 820 I had previously. Took a bit to get it setup, but I have 3 different bike profiles. The only thing I've been disappointed with is that I have 2 instances where the unit decided to do a GPS firmware update in the middle of a ride causing a loss of mileage and mapping detail.

Same long ride as last year with a lengthy lunch break, finished with 65% battery versus needing to use battery save mode. Screen size helps older eyes see many data fields.

Perfect cycling computer, the battery life is insane and the screen is very easy to see when I'm riding. Accidentally dropped it a couple times on pavement with no issues, looking forward to many years running this tech! The touch screen is very user friendly and hasn't been annoying to use.
It's A Garmin of course it's great!

My old computer struggled on long days when I would leave it running eating lunch and taking brakes. I’d have to go in battery save mode just to finish the ride. Identical ride a year later and I finished with 65% charge
