A: Well, considering this hair color is the ULTRA COOL PLATINUM (not the Ultra Light Platinum referenced above by Garnier smh lol) which is their Lightest Platinum shade available.... 40 volume probably!

Ultra Light Platinum is best for anyone with natural hair between light brown and dark brown. For people with currently color treated hair, there are special considerations for the color result you can achieve. Because of this, we do not recommend shade PL1 or PL2 for hair that has been previously colored shade 80 “Medium Blonde,” or darker. Also, not recommended for heavily highlighted or relaxed hair. Leave mixture on for 30-60 minutes according to your lightening preview test. Total timing should not exceed 60 minutes. For more help, feel free to LIVE CHAT us through our website. I've been using this product for a couple of years and was obsessed with it. I'd always get complements on my hair. Not anymore! They recently changed the formula and claimed it's "still the same product with a new box". It's not. It ruined my hair. The coverage is a lot thinner making banding happen easier. No matter how much I tone my hair, my roots are still yellow and I've left it on for as long as I always have. I'm switching brands unless they change the formula back.

I used this product for years. This new formula is too thick. Too hard to get out of the mixing tube and too hard to get out of the applicator bottle. I had to take the top off of it and it made a mess, I can't precisely control it. You took a good product and ruined it.

Get salon quality products. Started on natural hair, a level 7. Left with a brassy blotchy mess. Bought salon products and fixed it. My hair was nearly orange and I didnt even need to lighten much being blonde already. Pics are from before and after this junk box. I suppose you could try it if you only want lift but know you will absolutely have to tone and prob re bleach as well anyways

Just horrible. Did a root touch up and the top of my head and roots and front are bright RED, not auburn. The color did not take on the length and my hair is as stiff as straw. Now have to recolor with a brown I guess to tone it down and even it out. Have never had such a poor coloring experience and have been doing it myself for decades. Do not recommend.
I usually use the other platinum blondes with the blue powder

I have used this product 3 times now in the V2 color and every single time it's turned out red instead of the dark purple it's supposed to be. Will not be using again.

This shade or violet is far more red than purple. I’m incredibly disappointed I was looking forward to a nice understated dark violet like the picture and my hair looks identical to when I dyed it burgundy. So now I have to go buy a different box of color and re-dye my hair.

It made my roots orange/red. Very disappointed in the color because it didn't properly color the ends so it's giving reverse ombre. Not the vibe I was going for. I wanted a shade or two lighter color with the dimensions.

Not enough in one bottle to start with. I put it on my natural non dyed hair, after I had grown it out for over a year, and now it’s blotchy, yellow, and ugly. My hair is about a foot long and only the first inch of roots really picked up the dye, just a little bit though. I’ve been dyeing my hair for over 12 years and this has never happened to me. Not happy with this trash product.

This bleach is phenomenal for dark hair. As someone who has been bleaching my hair at home with powder bleach and 40 vol developer, for over a decade; I'm obsessed with the lifting power of this 'boxed dye"!The conditioner is purple or indigo which removes the yellow. My hair is short but I would definitely recommend 2+ boxes for anything longer than a couple inches.

I’ve been using Garnier Nutrisse hair color for over 20 yrs.The new formula is too thick. I immediately noticed the difference. This makes it much more difficult to get to the roots and the bottle gets clogged too. I’m disappointed because I love the color I use, but I may have to switch.

I believe they have reformulated. I’ve been using this product for years and it was always my go-to. The last couple times I have used it, the product has not lightened my hair well. It’s a quick and easy process, but not as effective as it once was.

Never had a problem bleaching my hair before. Decided to try a new brand, followed instructions perfectly and out of my 6 foils only 1 came out good, the rest have many strands that didn’t even bleach at all. Half my hair is still brown and the other is blonde. Looks like I have brown highlights.

I have used this color for years and absolutely loved it. The formula has changed. The color isn’t the same, it dried mt hair out and the color was gloppy and didn’t cover well. Why would you change something that was already great to something awful. I will be finding a new hair color brand. I am so disappointed.
