GE Household Lighting Cync 4-Wire On/Off Switch Paddle

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been super hesitant to try anything smart, well I but the billet and tried this! To my surprise it was way easy to install and I am in love with how well it works, I will be getting more in the future!

This Cync - GE C by GE Smart Switch, Neutral Wire Required, On-Off Paddle Style with Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz WiFi is great because of all of its features. It has Bluetooth and WiFi and it even connects to my Alexa. I can control it in many ways, even when I’m not home. It’s great for being able to turn on lights when I’m out of town so people don’t know I’m not home. I’d get this switch again.

It even makes regular bulbs smart. I definitely like the feature that you can we can set a schedule or even turn the lights off and on when we are not home. Such a wonderful bonus feature when traveling, out late or for 2nd homes. We use the switch with our Google assistant a breeze to set up and use. Installation was quick and easy for my husband. Saves on electric also you can turn the lights off from your bed or when in other parts of your home if needed. Such a added bonus to daily life. I definitely recommend this item

The switch itself has a simple modern look and a nice faceplate that looks expensive. The wifi functionality works perfectly with my google nest setup in my house. Love it. Now I don't have to get up out of bed anymore to turn off the light. I just ask google!

Also is super easy to install, it comes with everything you need and the instructions are very clear.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this installed for 2 weeks now and I absolutely love it. I love the style and modern feel it gives my home. But my favorite thing about it is of course the ability to control it from my Alexa. I installed it in my living room and we all know sometimes we forget to get the lights before going to bed. Well, I no longer have to get out of bed and go downstairs to turn it off, I just tell Alexa to turn it off and DONE! I don't know why I never owned a smart switch before!

We are already looking to switch all of them out! it makes it so much easier to make sure the lights are turned off without having to get up to turn them off

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my new Cync - GE C by GE Smart Switch, Neutral Wire Required, On-Off Paddle Style with Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz WiFi, Alexa and Google Home Compatible without a Hub, I can use it to turn my light on and off without having to buy the hub which can be quite costly for someone on a fixed income.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had no idea if this would work with our 3 panel switch when we first got it, but I quickly discovered it was made to work in single or multiple switch areas. I am a succulent enthusiast and have many smart plugs and bulbs around my home, but this is my first smart switch. We decided to use it in the living room and I couldn't be more pleased! Gone are the days of trying to decide who is going to get up and adjust the light before movie time, or who is going to get out of bed to turn off the light we left on.... just bring up the app on a phone and boom.. its done! Even better is I can tell Alexa to do it and it was super easy to pair it to my Alexa device. We really love that we can even turn the lights on or off or set scenes while we are away from home. If people see lights changing in a house, they are going to assume someone is home and hopefully be less likely to break in. That gives us a bit of extra security and peace of mine. You can use it with traditional bulbs, or it even pairs with smart bulbs to do even more cool stuff! I think I may be grabbing another one soon to use for my plants!

The app works pretty good and i was able to integrate it with Amazon Alexa. It would have been nice if it would integrate with my samsung smartthings hub, but it does not appear Cync devices can.

I’ve been using this switch for about a month already and have not come across any major glitches or issues either! It’s a win for me!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wasn't awful to hook up to the home wiring. The most difficult part was to get it to connect to our wifi system; ended up rebooting our modem/router in order for switch to basically discover it. Once connected it worked well. I think it worked better with our Alexa enabled devices over the mobile app for the smart switch. Overall would recommend and plan to get more.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We thought it would be good to use a wireless switch for our son's room since he's not too energy conscious or deligent at turning off lights when not used. The switch was easy to install with clear instructions. It matched our other switches and looks nice and clean. The app setup was also pretty quick and straightforward. However, over the next couple of weeks, it disconnected from time to time and was difficult to reconnect. We had to uninstall the app or remove device and restart the setup process from scratch. If it would work consistently so I can rely on it, it would make a great addition to the home. Otherwise, it's no better than a regular switch.

With this switch hooked up to regular lightbulbs you can schedule the lights to turn on and off automatically. You can even control them while your away from home. If you have a voice assistant you can even control them with your voice.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thing is so cool. It turns my normal, everyday, ceiling fan into a smart device. It was super easy to install, no different than installing or changing out any other wall switch and took maybe 20 minutes. To set up the functionality you have to install the Cync app and follow the prompts. Easy peasy. We use the switch with our Google assistant and once it was set up through Cync other users in the house were able to add the device to their Google home app. I can either use voice controls through Google to control the light or use the app. I like that I can set a schedule for the lights to turn on or off and even control the lights when I'm not home. The best part for me is that I don't have to get up to turn the light switch on at the wall anymore. Definitely want to get more smart bulbs to use with the smart switch in my home.

I did struggle so install and program everything but once I figured it out it was easy sailing. Using it for my ceiling fan definitely coming in clutch for the hot nights.

The wi-fi switch works with all bulbs and you can connect other fixtures and switches. After installing the smart switch you download the Cync App to add your switch and follow the instructions to even set up a voice assistant. The App allows you to set schedules and control your lights away from home. This is a great product to have in your home.
