Makes great espresso and has put up with daily use for over a year

For me, this is a very useful machine, and I really like it. I own a coffee shop, I use this machine at home. The espresso it extracts is excellent, of course, as long as your pair it with good, fresh coffee beans.

I got this machine as a retirement gift from my company. I've got mixed feelings about it. As far as configuration goes, the settings are limited. It makes a decent espresso though. There are two major issues I've got with it. The first is the portafilter. It seems small, barely even capable of holding 20g of beans without seriously compacting the beans against the screen. The second is the grinder. It's prone to jamming and hard to clean. Lately, even after THOROUGHLY cleaning it, I can't grind beans for a single espresso without it jamming. Sorry to say, when (not if) I replace this unit, it will be a different make.

This machine a absolutely beautiful; it's sleek and elegant. I give it 4 stars because the grinder stopped working about 6 months in. I thought it was user error, but I cleaned/vacuumed every other week. Turns out others have experienced this as well. GE was great in that as soon as a called about the issue they were able to replace it. Hopefully the second machine does not have this issue.

Love my new coffee machine excellent quality and warranty

We had a nespresso machine prior to this but my husband was drinking so much coffee it was getting too expensive, so we decided to dip into getting an espresso machine. Didn’t know anything about espresso machines so figured this was a good starter. It is very sleek and beautiful! Super easy to learn. Unfortunately we are now on our THIRD machine. The first one stopped working a few months after Christmas when I bought it for my husband. A light signal came on that was not in the manual, and thankfully was replaced by GE under warranty. Now we just had to send back that newer machine, because it just stopped grinding beans completely, no matter the amount of cleaning or resetting we did. I mean the only saving grace is that we are able to keep getting the machine replaced by GE (Thank you GE), but honestly I would’ve saved my couple hundred and invested in a much nicer machine. When it works exactly as it should it’s perfect. But that hasn’t been how it’s played out for us sadly.

The espresso machine functions fine, but the wifi capabilities are more limited than we initially though. Additionally, we cannot figure out how to get a replacement bean hopper after ours broke (owned less than a year). Replacement or additional portafilters are also not easily obtained. I have yet to find one that fits this machine. the lack of compatibility with other items on the market and no replacements available via the website is frustrating

Excited the first week. Bold, rich espresso. However, couldn't use the single shot filter as the minimum time for single shot is 9.5 and always overflooded the filter, regardless of grind level. Starting the second week it wasn't pouring ground coffee. Followed the instructions in the book to clean the grinder with no success. Unable to remove all coffee beans, had to flipped upside down to let the gravity did its job. Spent almost two hours trying to solve the problem. GE Support Team is amazing taking care of returns/refunds.

Not the espresso machine I was expecting from GE Appliances. The design is beautiful, but the performance is lower than average. It’s hard to configúrate and it doesn’t not build the right pressure to get a good espresso. The portafilter is hard to put together and into the machine

4 months and the grinder has stopped working. Very inconsistent with the amount it blends. Not recommended at all!

Easy to setup and use to make delicious coffee concoctions. Extremely happy with my purchase it will pay for itself with saved trips to Starbucks.

I read every review before making purchases these days. Every review about this machine was positive. So far, we absolutely love ours. A few new owner issues to work through (never steam milk long enough) but easy to use and would recommend.

I got the machine since October 2023 love it. The only issue is the grinder doesn't grind much coffee grounds anymore. Gave it a deep clean same result.

I’ve had this for about a month now. Making daily espresso. grinder works fine. People need to research more on the mechanisms and how they work. Only adjust grind settings while grinder is on. Especially when going finer. This helps avoid beans getting stuck in the process, which leads to jamming the grinder. I am giving 4 stars due to lack of consistency and app compatibility. I got this because I wanted a more modern machine and it seemed like a great addition to my smart home. It would be amazing if you could actually turn on the machine from the app to allow machine to get to temp. It has auto-off anyway. In addition, I there seems to be a delay when adjusting settings via app to apply to machine , doesn’t seem immediate, I always reset the machine when adjusting to be sure changes are applied. As for the consistency concern, I use adequate tools and scales to narrow down my variables for inconsistencies, yet it seems like the pressure of the machine varies, but still does the job. I’ve narrowed it down to internal heat temp. Typically, if the machine is on for 30 + mins , I can get perfect shots , back to back. Yet, if I only wait for the factory set preheating time, it doesn’t seem to get to pressure nor extraction temps. Overall it is a beautiful machine and I would reccomend for anyone starting an espresso hobby. I purchased on sale during Christmas, so It was definitely worth it.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS MACHINE!!! Easy to use, very friendly, coffee taste is awesome, easy to setup and first use was very straightforward.

First ever espresso machine and so far, I love it! I’ve had some trouble with the app and adjusting preference settings but adjusting things on the machine has been straightforward. The instructions are beginner friendly can live next to the machine while I’m still learning.
