I liked these gloves for skiing and light duty outside work. They heat up very fast. And the heating time is similar to whats stated in the manual. The sizing fits good. I do like the battery monitor on each battery

No heat in the index or middle fingers

Bought these gloves because the claim to heat everywhere. This is false. After testing these (I am scientist) there is no heat in the tips of index or middle finger. Why, apparently the conductive nature of those fingers for using on touch screens procludes heating element. The marketing sounds great, the design engineering is not. It is very odd to have three heated fingers and two not heated. Especially the fingers that need the heat.

These gloves work on an average basis. The charging limitations are unbelievable. The batteries stopped working after 1.5 winters. I found out the rechargeable batteries are only good up to 500 charges. I bought replacement batteries and it's the gloves that wore out. SAVE YOUR MONEY! DO NOT BUY THES E EXTREMELY OVERPRICED GLOVES!!!

I purchased the gloves to replace an older pair that had stopped working after around 10 years. The older pair were Cabela's branded but made by Gerbing. The new gloves work fine. My only issue is the sizing. My hands measured right between Large and XL. I went with the XL, should have gone with XXL.

Weather hasn't really turned cold yet but did get a chance to use them the other morning when it dipped into the low 40's (around 30f when factor in wind while riding). They were amazing. I had to turn down the heat to keep my hands from sweating.

They are warm gloves. The material on the palm is slippery, makes operating the clutch risky business.

    Winter Warmth

So far, so good. These gloves are a big improvement from the earlier version as the temperature settings are conveniently located on the surface. The attached lanyards are a plus, the battery compartment is well proportioned, and the connection is solid. We gave them four stars as they have yet to be tested in extreme cold. All in all, a great design.

For the price, I’m disappointed. On high, the battery life is less than an hour. Also, if you choose to order, I would recommend going one size up.

    Warm everywhere except finger tips!

I really wanted to like these gloves: good build quality and very warm everywhere … except the finger tips. I have diabetes and my fingers and toes always feel cold due to poor circulation. The backs, palms and fingers heat well, however the fingertips feel like they’re open to the air. The tips of my fingers feel like ice with temperatures in the 30’s; I’m sure they will feel even colder when temperatures drop into the 20’s and teens.

So far so good. I have used gerbing gloves before. I have used the fleece the S4's and the featherweight gloves. I have had good success with them.need to look them up and send them in and have them repaired. That easy I have backups and could loan them out if needed at work.. I work at a frozen warehouse 12 hour shifts.they seem to work similar to previous versions. They don't work with all gerbing 7.4v batteries like the others that I have had.. I have also noticed the batteries aren't nearly as powerful as my previous batteries. I have batteries from over 5 years ago that last longer than what came with them even on low. Overall very happy with my purchase.

    No more cold hands

I bought these mainly for hunting in Illinois cold weather, but use them when riding as well. They work great and the batteries last a long time on medium or low setting which is plenty warm. The wrist straps and handy for when you need to take them off to take a shot. Without these gloves and my Gerbing heated coat, I might not have lasted long enough to get thi guy 20 minutes before last light on the last day of the season

    Glove problem and Gerbing's fix

    5 out of 5 stars

I bought a pair of these gloves which I recently began wearing a great deal due to being on the Oregon coast during winter and also, I recently discovered severe arthritis in both hands. The gloves developed issues, long story short: I called Gerbing, they asked me to send the gloves in. In no time I got a call explaining that the gloves had shorted out, and they were sending me a new pair AND a new set of batteries. I was expecting a hefty repair bill. Nope. I'm not only delighted that they took care of this so swiftly, I am deeply grateful that they replaced the gloves and I got new batteries to boot. I use battery-operated gloves in my adventure travel as well, so they are a lifesaver. As someone with Reynaud's these gloves allow me to continue to play hard in the outdoors no matter the weather. When I am recovering from upcoming hand surgery they will be a terrific comfort. Thanks to the Gerbing team for swift response and excellent service.

This is my second pair of Gerbing gloves. The switch on of my older gloves failed; while waiting for repair or replacement by Gerbing, I purchased these. They are warmer than my older gloves, but consume a bit more battery power. There are actually times when it is the mid-20s and the medium heat setting becomes a bit too warm, so I just turn it down to the low setting. I have never had to set them on "high."

These gloves are worth every dollar I payed for. I wish I could have bought them sooner. My friend was the one that told me about them. He said I could find cheaper ones but he told me not to waste my money and just buy the best ones right away. And he was right. Thanks gerbing I appreciate it very much. Emil Belen

    Glove heat

    4 out of 5 stars

I have now used the gloves 3 times at outside temps of 20-30 degrees clearing snow and walking dog. My hands and specifically fingertips always get cold no what glove I have used. With these on always high temperature setting my hands have stayed warm and fingertips ok. The best way you can tell how warm they get is turn them on for a couple of minutes and then put your hand in. You can really feel the heat around back of hand around knuckle area but not really at fingertips. If you squeeze fingertips together it actually feels cool. However, my hands have stayed warm so some heat must be getting to fingertips but not really felt.

    Mixed feelings

When the batteries work this is a fine pair of gloves. However, the batteries often don't work, they don't hold a charge. Since I have Reynaud's, keeping my hands warm in winter is an absolute necessity. The gloves alone are nowhere near warm enough. Today I took the fully charged batteries to the Oregon Coast where the winds were high and cold. The batteries barely lasted three quarters of an hour on high, and my hands turned to ice. The gloves need to be a lot more waterproof, and the battery charge is a genuine issue. The dexterity is excellent for gloves like this, gauntlets nice and long. So many things to like and appreciate. But the batteries, the batteries. I have to constantly charge and recharge and they do not hold the charge at all.
