Ghostbusters (2016)

Ignore the expiration date on the digital code. It still works fine. And for the people saying theirs didn’t come with a code, that’s a fluke. It does indeed have a code despite the box art not mentioning it. Code says expires 2019 but still worked in 2024 for me.

4k comes with digital. Movie as stand alone franchise reboot spinoff is hilarious. Just have to disconnect completely from originals and enjoy for what it is.

Just a heads up for anyone buying this for the digital copy, the digital copy is NOT included. It is only a Blu-ray. We ordered a replacement because having the digital copy was important to us and we thought maybe the first was a fluke. There was nothing on the packaging that said anything about there being a digital copy and when we got the replacement, it likewise did not include a download code. No other issues though. Our household loves all things Ghostbuster :)

They should have never allowed the creation of this movie. They could have went with a different name and not ruin the Ghostbuster franchise. Stick to 1 & 2 and eve the newest movie Afterlife.

This isn’t a Ghostbusters movie. I wouldn’t watch it, stick to the two original Ghostbusters movie.

Bought the DVD because my kids liked the movie when we rented it. Took plastic off and no disc inside.

LOVE the movie, but this $5 version is missing a bunch of scenes that were in the movie when in the theater.

It was a fun movie. The girls kick butt!

This movie has the best villain- that guy who thinks he's more picked-on than anybody else, who drives everyone at the party nuts by talking about how smart and modest he is, and declares that Libertarianism is the only political system that really makes sense. If nothing else, watching him get his butt kicked by the Ghostbusters would make this a great movie. However, the stars of this film are hilarious and brilliant, and they blow the original cast out of the water. Great as the cameos were, after years of mediocre Bill Murray films, I'd have been perfectly happy for him to have waited this one out. And for the icing on the cake, Kate McKinnon and her guns make my heart go pitter-pat.

My six year old loved it but I expected more. Maybe I am just an original Ghostbusters fan.

My family can't get enough of this movie. My kids want to watch it over and over.

I know the original movie is a classic but it was fun to see some new Ghostbuster characters. My nephew loves Ghostbusters thanks to all the new toys that have come out. It's a fun movie. People should definitely check it out.

About this film, I have to admit that the past Ghostbusters 1 & 2 were funny and still it is today but this one I say that it beats the cake, it inspires us to know that in the spirit world, somebody's always watching we can't see them, although sometimes we can see them, good or bad, they'll always there and I know by seeing this film, it had a lot to offer, it made me laugh and it made me cry. I barely couldn't hold on to my popcorn, my soda was dripping all over the floor, as my family and I, we saw it for the first time, it was a smashing hit. It shows that not only men could fight evil apparishioners but women as well for little or no more to say about this film, I give it a Ghostbusters 3 shout-out. WOOWOOWOO! Awesome!! For all the hype this movie received, I must say it wasn't that funny. It does have its good spots but they are far in between. Jokes seem forced and chemistry is just weird. The picture image on the UHD is excellent and the CGI looks crazy cool.

I love that it comes with blu ray disc, 3D disc, 4K ultra hd disc AND digital copy! We have only used the blu ray, but it is stunning! Bits and pieces jump out at you just like a 3D movie. Can't wait to see the 3D disc. It's funny and the whole family loves it!

Slight spoilers* I actually really liked this movie. The jokes were cheesy and the special effects weren't Oscar worthy but for what it is it definitely is not the worse movie I've ever seen. The acting was spot on for each character and I enjoyed the Easter eggs and cameos.

I heard a lot of negative reviews of this movie and I disagree with them. I feel this movie is better than the original. Acting is great. The stars in the movie are not stereotypes. The special effects are fun. I do not buy movies any longer since we have Netflix etc. however this one is worth buying!!
