These are a very attractive set of plates and bowls; love the texture of them, the asymmetrical shape, the little specks. That said, I wish I had done more research before biting the bullet. The surface of these gets scratched pretty much immediately; this is something I would have expected on a cheaper set of plates, but since these were on the pricier side in my opinion, I find this disappointing, especially since it happened immediately, not over a long period of time. Further, they claim to be microwave safe, but they absolutely retain heat and get too hot to hold. When I did some research after the fact (silly me, should have looked it up sooner), I found reviews that this is super common and people even having issues with them shattering in the microwave. We don't microwave too often, so I think we'll survive this, but it's always disappointing when the product doesn't do what it says. Don't get me wrong, these are still attractive, and they weren't over-the-top on price, but they're definitely marked up just for being cute. Overall, just a bit disappointed that these didn't really hold up to the price and I wish I'd done more research and spent maybe a bit more on something that will actually function as full blown stoneware.

I was skeptical ordering something without reviews but those plates and bowls do not disappoint! It’s durable, won’t chip in dish washer and its irregular shape makes it unique and great for hosting events. Got lots of compliments from guests and family members. It’s not cheap but quality stands behind. Ordering another set.
