We are enjoying the bookcase from Ashley. I would recommend this bookcase if you purchased it online. Not sure why it was twice as much money in the store as it was online. That's just crazy.

Easy to put together too

The shelves are a bit warped…all of them. Might be returning the bookcase.

Love these bookcases and glad for my choice to purchase them! The look of the shelves in these bookcases exceeded my expectations as they do look like real wood. The shelves and entire units when assembled are of good weight, very sturdy. The cross bars in the back are for appearance only and not necessary for stability, which I was glad of because I found it impossible to line up the holes of the bar and support post for the last of the four connection points on both of the two bookcases I purchased. The cross bars are the same length and I think the issue arises because one must go behind the other and therefore ine should be just a titch longer for that extra arc, but is not. After 45 minutes of trying everything I could including disassembling and reassembling with the opposite bar in back I gave up. The tension is enough to hold the bar at the right angle and because they are not needed for support I will live with it and no one will ever know my little secret. Aside from that issue I am very pleased with the look and quality of these bookcases. (Plan ahead: The boxes were very heavy and more difficult than I anticipated it would be to move up the flights of stairs to our loft area by myself so with the second box I was smarter, opening the box first and carrying the components up in separate trips - much easier!!)

This bookshelf has been very useful, I have used them for books and for plants. It is not heavy or bulky.good investment!!

Absolutely love this bookshelf. Great quality and reasonably priced.

I'm really happy with this piece, although I had a little difficulty aligining the holes with the frame on a couple of the shelves. Key is to not tighten down all four bolts on the self until they're all partially screwed in. Then tighten them down.The shelves look great in the space we put it and they hold a lot of books. There's even space to add decorative nick nacks, etc.

The shelving unit has a high quality look to it. It works perfectly in our family room with our mango wood cocktail table and mid-century couches that have wooden legs. A few things to note about the shelving unit: the hollow wood shelves have an orange hue to them along with the driftwood grey; and, the metal columns have a lot of silver along with the black. We love it in our space and it would look great in a space that has brick in it.

I love the bookshelf it is a perfect fit. The quality is great and it's nice and sturdy. It was really easy to install I put it together by myself it took me less than 20 minutes.

Good looking shelf unit; easy to assemble and looks terrific in my home office.

It's rustic, but not too much that it doesn't blend in with our other furniture! Would be a 5 star if the wood was solid and if all screws came with it. I thankfully keep extras, so it wasn't a problem.

Description stated black and brown but frame was gray. The shelves are hollow and look like a child stained them. Inconsistent and a lot of orange tones. This is not rustic but sloppy.
