Use the tips & visuals in this guide to make taking your child's body measurements easy-peasy.

Dont have a fabric tape measure? Use a shoelace or pant leg to measure. Then, lay it flat & use a ruler or tape measure to get a numerical measurement.

How to measure

  • Height

    Have your child stand in front of the fridge.Mark the top of the head with a magnet. Measure a straight line from floor to magnet.

  • Chest

    Have your child make airplane arms. Wrap tape measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping it level & snug.

  • Waist

    With your child bending to one side, measure the point where the flexes naturally. keep the tape level & comfortably loose.

  • Hip

    Have your child stand like a tall tree with feet together. Measure a level line around the fullest part of the hips & seat.

  • Inseam

    Take a pair of pants that fit your child well. Measure along the seam from crotch to leg opening.

Q: Are these the same for for boys and girls?

  • A: my 9 yr old son just got a pair and loves them. super soft and he’s upset they don’t sell them as a matching set for whole family. they may be marketed as being for “girls” online here but at the store they were in the “boys”section and there’s no difference in fit that I can tell. not sure if that helps!

I have bought these velour Jammies from Cat and Jack the past two years. My kids call them “the fuzzy jams”. The quality is terrible this year! They are almost bald after one washing. The prior Jammies (2022, 2023) look great and have been handed down for more snuggles. These 2024 versions are dissolving into to fluff in my lint trap and cheese-cloth jammies. I will be looking for new Christmas Jammies next year. These are not what they were. Beware, these are just wasteful garbage. I would happily pay more for the better quality pajamas of years past.

The buffalo check pjs are so fun and super comfy. They fit really well and have handled multiple washes really well. They are true to size and have shown no signs of wear. The pjs are a great add to our pj rotation!

These are so so soft and comfy but they ran small for us. Yes, they are supposed to be snug fit, but they ran short and super tight for my girl. Wish they had come in sizes greater than 14 like most of the kids sizing does.

The sizes are not correct the size 10 looks like a size 4 and the 14 looks like a size 6 the will not fit a 9 year old and 10 year old as intended. They where a size 10 and 14 in children's in all other clothing and pajamas. 1st photo is size 10 2nd is the 14.
