Q: Is it difficult, complicated to assemble?
A: It's not complicated. Pretty simple and straight forward. Working at a leisurely but steady pace by myself it took about 3 hours to assemble it. It's really only a 1 person job as except for perhaps helping with lifting the top & bottom sections or holding components during tightening there's really nothing for a second person to do. The most tedious & time consuming part is installing all the wood dolls and metal connecting rods. I suppose a 2nd person could help with that.

Q: Exactly how many holes for cord management are there? And where are they?
A: There are 3 half moon holes for cords, 1 in each back panel. The panels completely cover the back of the cubby opening and the instructions show installation of panels with the holes at top. So cords would go up, over, and back down to outlet. I think it's better to run the cords down and out so I installed the panels "Upside down." Too late I also thought of just leaving the back panels off to facilitate airflow to audio/video components on the shelves in the cubbies and also for cord management. With the doors closed and back panels on there will be no airflow to any gear in the left or right cubbies.

Q: Is it okay to cut an opening behind the top middle shelf to fit a speaker that is 15" deep since that middle shelf only goes back about 13"? Same for one of the other shelfs since the receiver is also about 15" deep? Thanks
A: Hello AndyLL, great question! Although it is not recommend that holes be cut into Saracina Home furniture, you can assemble this TV stand without the back paneling. May we also recommend either the "58" Rustic Farmhouse TV Stand - Saracina Home" (sku: 54616875) or "58" Industrial Farmhouse TV Stand - Saracina Home" (sku: 54616231). Hope this information helps!
submitted byBrand Expert - 5 years agoBrand expertA: Instead of cutting the back panel just don't install it. Each of the three "Cubby's" have a separate back panel.
