Q: How do you take off the lid?!

Q: In a previous comment, it said the lid goes on tight, but it didn’t answer the question are they airtight?  so my question is are they airtight yes or no?
A: Hi Patio - The lid seal is primarily intended to keep the lid from being loose in the glass body, and does provide some sealing. The, the lid has not been verified to be airtight. - Faith

Q: I recently purchased and cha GED over my pantry with cannister and absolutely love them for dry products; easy to stack with the wood lids...just wondering what is the type of wood material used and how to care for them (wood only) in the future?
