Q: how wide are the shelves? can they hold a printer? are the shelves at least 12 inches or more?

A: Hi Diva4u932, Thank you for the great question. The shelf depth measures 9.5". We would recommend placing a 12" deep printer on either the bottom shelf or on the main desk surface.

Q: Is it possible to assemble the desk without installing the top shelf? I was considering placing my pc case/tower on the second shelf from the top and don't know if it would fit with the top shelf on. The case in question is 18.7"H x 8.7"W x 18"L

A: Hi Van, Thanks for your question. I understand you would like to assemble the desk without the top shelf. You most certainly can build the desk without the top shelf. Additionally, there is not 18" of clearance with the top or bottom shelf installed. You could remove either the top or bottom shelf and your computer tower would fit just fine without compromising the integrity of the desk. Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Q: If the desk is 47 or 55 inches wide, what is the width of the shelfing area that would need to be subtracted from those dimensions to get the width of the working desk top area?

Q: It says 47.2"L x 23.6" W x 48.1"H—I assume the 48.1" is the bookshelf height. How high off the ground is the desk part?

Received this item quickly, but damaged. I bought the black and yellow oak, and the yellow oak is much darker than pictured. As I was opening the packaging, a corner of the desk is completely damaged. As school is approaching, I need this desk asap. I have never gotten anything damaged from target, and I am very disappointed in the delivery and product.

Wanted to share some more measurements in inches. Sadly mine came with some pretty bent up corners but thankyfully they were on the side of the table facing the wall so I don't see it everytime I sit down. Was very easy to put together (just pay attention to where the holes are located, had to take out one side twice for not paying attention) and was able to do it alone but needed a chair to hold up the longer piece up while I attacehd it to the shelving part. It feels sturdy, looks great and its very spacious.

When order was received box messed up and my product was damaged , leg parts did not fit properly, and when having to return it I had to take to store for refund, then would have to reorder, u should be able to return through mail not have to drag into store!

I read the reviews and I chose to take the chance but the desk countertop was ruined in three spots be very careful if you choose to buy this because it’s heavy and the box is big to either ship it back or to return to Target!

Love this desk! Looks just like it does in the pictures and easy instructions to follow, though they are simple. My only complaint is you need to have a Phillips head screwdriver to put together and it would also be helpful to have two people, but I did it by myself. Shipped VERY quickly and arrived perfectly!

Beautiful desk but damaged on delivery. Had to put it together to see if it was avoidable or even concealable but it was too smashed on the corners. The only option is to take it apart again and mail it back then deal with either waiting for another deal or picking a different desk as refunds were all that were offered. Kinda a bummer Target I’m feeling let down.

Beautiful aesthetic but flimsy materials. It came to me damaged in a few places and I was not able to exchange it for another. (Perks of not being able to have any time to assemble furniture postpartum) The directions are a little confusing when it comes to assembling the shelves.

This was delivered damaged. It looks like it was a returned item from a previous customer . 2 corners are damaged the “wood” at both corners are lifted abs splintered.

The desk itself would be ok for the price. Except we ordered it two times( first time the top was damaged and we returned, second time it was the same), outside box was ok but the table top was damaged. It is very cheaply made. Do not recommend.

I don’t know why this has a low review but guys this desk is awesome! I got the 47 inch desk and it works so perfect for me! Not too big neither too small. FYI, I didn’t set it up but my dad did, so I couldn’t say how long it takes exactly to put together or if it’s a hassle. But, tbh this is a great desk at a great price. My only comment, would be my HP computer tower didn’t fit on the space where it’s supposed to go. My HP computer tower is pretty big too. ps. I’m a university student

Although the desk has a nice design, the material is very cheap and thin. The desk top came with a long split in it, one of the bars in the legs was dented and bent so it would sit uneven, there were about 3 other dings in the table top revealing the particle board underneath, and one of the plastic caps on one of the bars was crumpled and torn. The desk would actually be nice if it was packed with more than just thin sheets of styrofoam and plastic bags but until then I can't suggest this desk to anyone buying online.

I bought this desk for my first college house and I love it! It was easy to assemble and there is plenty of storage space on the shelves. It's a great size and there is a charging port in the back which provides ease for charging my devices while studying.
