My son has autism and he loves these! We have them in just about every color, and I do not dump the water each time because he plays with this every single day multiple times. I just flip them upside down when he isn't playing with them so the batteries don't get used up so quickly, or I add one of the lightup cubes to them. We have only had an issue with one of them with the screws stripping, but other than that these have held up well. I will continue to order as this was a huge YES for us, and he is rough with things.

Normally I only leave a review if it’s something I really like or really don’t like. I thought I was going to like this. You have to change out the water and insides every so often. But if you forget to change it for even a day, it’ll be ruined. If your toddler throws it at all, it’ll break. It’s made for older kids, I guess. It’s a cute idea, but not actually feasible as a toy for toddlers.

Great Sensory/calming jar that my daughter immediately loved and settles her! It's so pretty! But it needs an on off switch! And the fillers should come with resealable bags!

My daughter loved filling this play jar with some cool fillers that she found around the house :) She had so much fun with it. It looked so pretty in the dark you can see the jar changes color every few seconds!

Nice but lacking - 11 months ago
My mother ordered this for my daughter and I was so excited to put it together. But was upset cause it's just the jar there was no add in for it. Like the idea just wish it had stuff to go in it

I cannot get my son away from this jar! All you do is put three batteries in the bottom and it lights up and changes colors when you tap it! We like to use it when it is bedtime and time to wind down and read a story. When we are finished, we just store it upside down instead of dumping the water out and it seems to save battery life that way! Such a mesmerizing way to play.

My grandkids have loved playing with their jars. Then at night they love to turn them on and watch the glow. It helps them to relax. Amazing how awesome these jars are. Thank you Glo Pal.

This jar is so cool! My son absolutely loves watching the colors change and I love that all you have to do is add water! It makes it the perfect toy to take on the go/travel with. It’s become my new go to gift to give and I love that you can just add whatever water safe accessories you want to the jar!

I saw a review mention it not having an on off switch. It's liquid activated! You simply turn the jar over and it'll cut off. We really like this thing and my niece plays with it all the time. Make sure to use the smaller PH1 bit instead of a PH2 to put the AAA batteries in.
The coolest sensory toy

This is the coolest toy! I purchased this for my 4 year old son who loves lights. His face lit up with so much excitement when we added in the water to light up the jar. He loves taking it on the go with him. It’s the perfect calming tool. The water activated technology is super cool and my son loved exploring how the jar turns off when you store it upside down on its lid. Very cool and clever way to preserve battery! This toy gets 5 stars from us and we’ll definitely be giving more as gifts!!

(1) There is no on/off switch for the lights. As soon as you put water in the jar, the lights stay on unless you either (a) remove the batteries, (b) let the batteries die, or (c) dump out all of the water and all of the glitter, sensory toys, etc. that you just put in the water. (2) The instruction manual says you cannot leave water in the sensory jar for more than 24 hours. So if you add the Glo Pals sensory play fun fillers (which costs $5 per box) to the water, you are literally throwing money down the drain after one day’s use. Great idea, but it needs an on/off switch and the capability of leaving water in it for longer amounts of time so that you aren’t wasting the fillers.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The sensory play jar is a cute concept, but didn’t seem to hold the attention of my one year old niece. We had the blue jar, which is a pretty color. It held the water well, no leaks. The hole to put things into is a little small (might fit the pieces that are made by this brand to go into the jar, but I believe it’s an additional cost and sold separately).
