It puts off great light and the glass shade doesn’t obscure any light, instead creates a softer glow. The only down side is, the globe sticks out (down) a lot further than I had imagined and hoped for. Other than that it’s beautiful and does the job!

Since this light lets me see in the dark, it's exactly what I was hoping for. If you would like to see in the dark too, then you should get a light that does what it says it will do. Like this one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First, the quality is great. The bowl is strong, and doesn't seem to scratch easily. The glass globe is thick and heavy. The wiring itself is easy enough to do. The thing that makes me not recommend this light fixture is that it's too difficult to mount the fixture itself onto the ceiling bracket. Because the round flange is less than 5" wide and only 1" deep, and the bowl is 13" wide, it leaves only 1" of space to get into to line the 2 exterior holes on the fixture, with the 2 interior holes of the ceiling bracket. Then you need to be able to get the screws into the hole in that narrow 1" space. We tried standing on a ladder up to the ceiling, using a magnetic long handled screwdriver to hold the screw while we tried to get it in, etc. This is not our first light fixture install, so we know what we're doing. It was just way too finicky. If you know some kind of trick to get into the tight space, or have more patience than me (or are able and willing to hire an electrician), it's a beautiful fixture. But if you're new to diy, or don't want to deal with the odd placement of the screws, I'd choose something else.
