Q: Everything I read states the light should remain on until you manually shut it off. I have tested the one I just purchased a couple times now and it will shut off after 15 minutes. How do I get it to stay on until I manually shut it off? Thank you.

Q: Is the light distracting while driving?

A: Hi Brooke - The light is not too bright that it’s distracting while driving but it’s bright enough to see baby at night. There’s also a second mode that fades in and out for a less bright and more soothing option. I would suggest testing this mirror's brightness in your car, while you are not driving to gauge your comfort level.

The lights never worked. When I bought it the lights weren’t working so I thought I needed to release the battery tag but I couldn’t even open the battery area. It required a precision screw driver which I bought, but it was so tightly screwed in that the tiny screw driver stripped the screw. It’s probably better off because these contain those dangerous coin battery types which can be a choking hazard for children. Stick with the classic.

The only, and I do mean only, positive about this product is the nightlight feature which is the reason I purchased it in the first place but I was never able to get it to tighten up seucrely enough where I could use it all the time. There are much better alternatives out there. Find something that is easy to install and has an adjustable swivel.

Absolute garbage. The straps do not stay tightened - and I don’t mean like, throughout the day as you drive. I mean - you tighten one, go to tighten the other, and the nylon strap that is in the buckle adjuster dealio immediately (within seconds) untightens. Not to mention, if you tighten one, while holding the “tail” of the other, and then tie them together to keep this from happening (which you should NOT have to do…) and then Velcro the other horizontal strap together, the entire thing will not stay snug on a leather headrest. Just slip slip slips around. Super annoying. Trust me, getting babies into the car and on the road is difficult enough. No need to complicate things further when trying to get going in the morning. Skip over this product unless you enjoy feelings of fury in the morning.

Item needs a “try me” option. Had to replace the batteries after using it for one 10 minute trip home. The screw to the battery compartment stripped on the first removal, and one battery constantly becomes dislodged and the mirror lights turn off. Also, it takes button batteries so beware. Save your money and spend it towards a dash cam instead!
